I swear they tried this against us at some point.
Sam Reid just lol.
It's been their plan since they picked up the two millionaires - they just haven't had all three fit enough to play.

Franklin is a gun but Tippett/Reid is less daunting than Ben brown and majak daw as a forward combo.

Ummmm......

They lost!
Did you actually watch the game? They thrashed them. Had it not been fixed for ponting's team to win, hawthorn would have won by 120 runs.

Cam Brice and Isaac Smith had ripped through the top order and then there one actual batsmann came out Ponting, and the ball was bowled from almost behind the stumps. He got caught by a screamer from clarkson, on his first ball. After the ball had been caught in the outfield, the umpire decided to hold his arm out and call no ball (This is pontings Big Game of Cricket so he couldn't be given out first ball) The no ball calll meant a free hit. (Now it wasn't a no ball so this was a free hit that shouldn't have been) His shot was caught at mid on. Thus ended bruce's over. The batsmen crossed and ponting had retained the strike, and had him caught off the glove. (would have been smith's third wicket in 2 overs.) The umpire gave him not out, but it was the most obvious glove contact ever, which during the commentary ponting admitted to hitting. Later in the same over he was dropped. Four potential wickets in 6 balls. All of them Ponting. Ponting got the bulk of the runs. Then later They still needed 16 off the last over, with clarko bowling slow dibbly dobblers, and they still required 11 off the last ball. So as soon as Clarko bowled it (from well behind the line) it was called no ball (and hit for 6), to give north and extra ball and a free hit. Which they hit for 6.

But lose it LOL no. It was fixed. (in great spirits and players happy to have it happen, but in actual fact we had absolutely killed them but for the intervention of the actual purpose of the game which was to raise money for charity.)

Any reason why the Bowlologist himself only bowled an over? Seems Siddle had more than that.
He bowled slow off spin. Definitely didn't need him. Smith was tear away quick bowling big swinging yorkers which even troubled ponting. Cam Bruce was bowling in excess of 130 km/h.
