Man Rory Sloane playing like he’s absolute cooked- lucky he didn’t take the 5 year contract to come here..
A blessing we didn't waste cap space on him. He is very cooked.

Dangerfield copped a big head hit. Clearly dazed. Back on the field. Should have had a concussion test which mandates 20 mins off. That would have been him off for the rest of the game.
Hence, no test

He tried to get up and couldn’t. They should be fined heavily for that if this protocol means anything.

Just missed a 40m shot on goal by 20m.

"Melbourne Demons" is the response I give to hacks like Lloyd who state that the only way for AFL teams to achieve success with any certainty is to bottom out.
Carlton say hi

Carlton say hi

At least Carlton havent massacred half as much young Australian footballing first draft picks than Melbourne has. They were at least content with clogging their list with ageing stars and mid-20s hacks.

Melbourne continually reaps in first round talent, mismanage them into the ground, fail miserably and then start all over. They're the graveyard for the dreams of young footballers.

I thought Gold Coast were the new Melbourne, but even they were clever enough to realise they need a good backroom staff to build a club (Stewie Dew is twice the coach of Goodwin and Mark Evans is a very good CEO).

I'm not sure you're paying Carlton enough negative respect. They've ruined more 1st Round Pick careers than anyone in the last 20 years.

Let's just agree that they're both horrible, horrible organisations & hope that they merge to make a super-sh*t club in the near future.

Carl-Burn. I like it.

Is he already their best player?

Which first year players have ever looked as good as Rowell does, only comparisons I can think of are Selwood, JOM and Toby Greene.

Edit: rogiebear93, I want to put my hand up and say you were right and I was most definitely wrong. I remember prior to the trade and drafting period we were discussing Anderson and Rowell, and in particular the potential of getting pick #2 off GCS to get Anderson. I thought we'd need to get #1 to land him but you were adamant that Rowell was a certainty to go #1. We can all see why now.

Judd was good in his first year.

In fact, Judd came out of the blocks like a shot. Let's be honest, he had Hodge covered for a while.

Then, to steal a line from Banjo Patterson, Hodge gained on him, caught him and passed him, and won it hands down by a length.

From what ive seen so far he is but its a long season for a young player .
I think he also gives the rest of them a lot of confidence and you can see the improvement in a lot of their other players.

Still expecting to beat them though 👍

Geelong defence - "Danger stages all the time, here watch these video examples"

3 hours later - all clear.
The Dangerfield who cried wolf.
