Allen Jackovich was handy - kicked 71 in 14 games in his maiden season. Was unstoppable.
Is he already their best player?

Which first year players have ever looked as good as Rowell does, only comparisons I can think of are Selwood, JOM and Toby Greene.

Edit: rogiebear93, I want to put my hand up and say you were right and I was most definitely wrong. I remember prior to the trade and drafting period we were discussing Anderson and Rowell, and in particular the potential of getting pick #2 off GCS to get Anderson. I thought we'd need to get #1 to land him but you were adamant that Rowell was a certainty to go #1. We can all see why now.

So..... any footballers living in the postcodes that have been locked down
Looks to be a bunch of western and northern suburbs. So presumably more Bulldogs and Essendon players. They're allowed to go to work though.

I wouldn't presume so, as the majority live in the east and south eastern suburbs, Bayside and inner Subs like Hawthorn & Richmond

what? How does that work - if they are asymptomatic the spread continues

are students still allowed to go to school if the school is outside that postcode or if kids go to school in that postcode

Could get very messy - wonder how it will be policed

Through random police roadside checks. Driver gets pulled over for a random alcohol and drugs check, shows license as part of the process, once he of she is found to be from that area and doesn't give a valid reason for being out of area they cop a $1600 fine. They'll only have to nab a few doing this for the word to get around for people to stop. I really don't no many people willing to risk receiving fines of that nature.

People are still allowed to go to work or school within the suburbs or outside them if they have to and if they aren't showing symptoms

It's school holidays at the moment though so it's possible they will change the guidance on schools over the next two weeks.

These people aren't in lockdown because they have or are likely to have the virus, but because there have been recent cases in their local areas that make it riskier to engage in social activities. It's not about quarantining them but instead reducing the risk to them (and then subsequently everyone else) that they'll cross paths with someone who has the virus by limiting what they leave the house for to just the essentials. Work, school, exercise and groceries have been deemed essential. I'm not sure what that means for people whose work or school is outside of their lockdown zone though. I assume they'll need to justify it at any checkpoint and probably get tested and let the authorities know where they'll be if the test result returns a positive.

It's what the country has been doing since the start, now just on a smaller scale. A more targeted approach now that testing and tracking is at a more mature point that allows for micro management. But of course if it continues to spread into other areas the restrictions will come back in a far more far-reaching way.
