Very little of what O'Brien has said here, should be any revelation to those who have played any sport at a decent level - whereas more often than not, your emotional fortitude and self-belief either helps you become a star or evokes demons which results in you struggling to compete.

I've also long held the view that TOB has sadly been/is a poor reader of the play, something that is very hard to coach as it's more instinctive, which sometimes means less talented players consistently perform better.
I recall a few years ago TOB was regularly getting caught in no-mans land, having either decided to run off his direct opponent or trying to guard space or create an overlap anticipating the next play. Then you watch him play later at Box Hill, suddenly he looks like a superstar, with the ball always finding him..?

Anyway, wish him well in his next journey at the Dogs, would love to see him back himself and start clunking more marks - but not when playing his old team, thanks...
