Was listening to the game on the radio, and was struck by memories of a game in the early 1990s where Brisbane came back from about the same deficit at three quarter time. For me, it marked the end of the Hawthorn era and, it retrospect, it was the start of the Brisbane march. Is this the end of the Geelong era?

IF Fremantle were to beat the Cats this week then they'd leap over them into 2nd spot, and with Fremantle's dream run home that might give them a home Qualifying Final

Both the Swans and Cats losing has just given hope to the Pies and others that the top 4 isn't sealed yet.

Football is, and always has been, a game played between the ears but the 'romantic' assertion that a coaches' words ringing in your conscious - half an hour, 2 hours or a week later, carry you over the line, is just pure bunkum.

Gee if you run it up the guts against Geelong and hit up leading targets they look rubbish. They seem to rely on Taylor taking marks back there in order to turn defence into attack. Also, when they move the ball down the flank their players create space directly in front of goal and wait for the switch before they all rush at the space looking for a short pass. Will have to make sure we guard against the switch. Will need to stop them playing on as much as possible too. There static play is far more predictable.

I hate the scum and Shady more than these two teams, I detest Chapman and Mooney, what he did to Hodgey was filth, but didn't even get mentioned, more than any other players, I always have and I always will. BTW,did Cam Mooney say anything about his team tonight?
