Excuse my intrusion fellas. I've been trying to find out how many/if any players requested trades from hawthorn during your premierships?
Everyone knows about Hawthorns great 'culture' and how the playing group buys in, but I'd like to know what that looks like in pure numbers/names. And I'm not talking fringe/VFL players, but actual premiership players(Suckling is not included).
Reason being, already after our flag Hamling and Adams have both requested trades home to WA, and now rumours are circling that JJ is also thinking of heading back to WA. Many are trying to dismiss this as business as usual, so that's why I've been trying to find out how you guys went about premiership retention. Cheers.
Edit: I don't mean the last few years either, with Hill etc. I meant around your first flag/flags.
Kennedy and McGlynn early.
Then later, Murphy, Renouf, Brown, Lowden, Cheney, Franklin, Ellis, Anderson, Suckling, Hill, Lewis and Mitchell.
Difficult to identify who requested a trade versus was convinced it was best for their future.
