Norwood Oval has a Roger Woodcock End

I'm surprised that hasn't been cancelled in this day and age.

calling "safe"

Harley leads the league in broken tackles this year with 11. De Goey, Trac and Worps next best with 9.

Had 7 against the swans with the most ever being 8 in a game.
I questioned last year if his ability to break tackles was going to stand up at AFL level.

Early signs, yes it will. What a gun.

I have a bad feeling that the AFL's punishment for Finlayson is going to be an absolute joke. The media discourse around it has already been disgusting. Can't claim to be a safe space and host pride rounds and then not come down hard on his comments.

What did he say?
Hasn't been publically reported, but all reports, and Finlayson's own comments indicate that it was quite bad. Regardless, the point is that the AFL can't be tolerating homophobia, and should be giving out a punishment in line with their messaging during pride round that footy is for everyone and that there's zero place for homophobia

The fact that they are not naming the player he directed it at makes me wonder if the remark was quite personal also.

Sadly the precedent for immutable characteristics has been blurred massively.

Walker copped six weeks for racism, Clarko got a slap on the wrist for homophobia.
Does the AFL condone either? No
Does the AFL adjudicate both the same? No
Should they? I'd say yes.

Nat Edwards pointed out on Access All Areas that this kind of thing is exactly the kind of thing the AFL needs to take out of the game and is the kind of thing that will have significant ramifications at the grassroots level.

Jaegar O'Meara barely touching the ball. Not wishing him ill, but think we moved him on in a timely fashion.

Hawks got Meek in return and a future 2nd, whilst giving up JOM and a future 4th. Meek was far from meek vs the Pies.

Wonder what Damo thinks?

I watched some of the Freo game, and I must say, I barely saw him. Does he even have a role there?? I've actually completely forgot about him if truth betold.

He was sub on the weekend. Probably comes in this week due to injuries but he’s largely fringe if they are operating at full strength. He was actually ok when he came on the field though must say

Got caught a few times round 1 and it looked like he’d need a bit of time to get up to speed.

Only took him a couple of games.

He’s so strong through his lower body that he stands upright in every tackle.

Me too.
Having said that, most stats are grainy in afl. For all we know, a broken tackle could be a correl that grazes a player
I’m not going by that stat. Just from watching him actually do it in multiple games against good AFL opponents.

Be great if Woodcock played on Hardwick maybe passed off to Sidebottom
He's looking for big Cox at the Woodcock end. (well that'd be the place then....)
