I wonder if we will make a big deal about it and announce it on the Eve of the season? I agree this is the first time there has been some real hype around our club in so long and no one has come on board.RIGHT?! I was concerned a few weeks ago about this, and nothing has happened since, it's very concerning. Given how out of control the hype is currently, I can't understand how this hasn't been resolved and announced.
I love how McCartin copped a drive by in that

I don't think it would be hard to get something. So are we going to play round 1 without a back of jumper sponsor? find it hard to believe we are finding it so hard to get a sponsor on board.
Its better than taking any deal for the sake of it.So are we going to play round 1 without a back of jumper sponsor? find it hard to believe we are finding it so hard to get a sponsor on board.

Is there a trading thread floating around anywhere? Jackson Trengove is FA at Port. Would we have interest?
One thing I realised I didn't mention...
PJ said at the season launch that Nev Jetta actively campaigned about wearing the indigenous jumper at the 'G. It's happening against Port Adelaide later in the year, as well as for Indigenous Round.
He did, and I feel he'd be a handy pickup. However, we might have a similar issue to how we used Frost as a relief ruck; i.e. if he's playing KPD we've probably got a specific matchup for him and using him in the ruck would mess with structures too much for it to be overly worthwhile, and I've never noticed Trengove as a forward (at least a useful one anyway).Would be an upgrade on Spencer, anyway. Can he play KPD or KPF these days? He started as a KPD, right?

I, too, like the idea of a fat knife.Agree re Trengove. He'd be handy enough - kind of like a more polished version of Pedersen in that he can play back, forward or ruck to some degree - but I reckon we attack free agency this year to attract a genuine A-grader, if possible. #destinationclub
Did anyone watch On The Couch the other night? The showed a scene from Fox Footy's Fyfe Doco, where he pretty much gives away that he's not going anywhere. When talking about taking on the captaincy, he says something which amounts to his plans to lead the team for the next 5 or 6 years. Then, after realising what he's just said, he gives a very pained expression, realising that he's just thrown away his bargaining power with Freo.I, too, like the idea of a fat knife.
