What has happened to these forums? Last year and previous years there were so many threads and people posting.

Now it seems everyone is so competative and keeping their cards close to their chest.

Im sure there are just as many people reading them, but not as many willing to offer thoughts or add to discussions. :thumbsu: to those who add to the forum.

I can't speak for others, but this year has been a bust for me, finished 1900 last year which was my worst finish thus far, have managed to finish in the top 1000 3 years before that. This year currently sitting at 20,000, been ravaged by injuries and omissions. Happy to shell out advice and opinions, but to be honest, lost a little confidence this year.

True.

Perfect example - A mate who finished bottom of the ladder in my cash league last year is currently on top of the ladder this year :rolleyes:
Big turn around in form? I doubt it. More like last years strategy that worked horrible is working perfect this year.....

EDIT* Another mate who finished bottom 8 last year too is currently sitting 2nd

I know how you feel. We've had the same group of mates playing DT from when it started and then SC from when it started. I have been in the GF every year so far, I'm currently sitting 16th or 17th with 1 win.

Thanks to these players:

Goodes, Fyfe, Shaw, Zaharakis, Swan, Pendles, Nic Nat, Giles, Mumford, Luenburger, Ablett, Murphy, James Macdonald, Hargrave, Selwood and Lake who have all missed games for me during the season.. FWIW I traded Fyfe to Goodes to Zaharakis :s Too scared to trade Zaha now..

I've lost 4-5 games by under 20 points and all the others by less than 100 so it just shows one less donut from these guys playing and I'd be back where I belong.

True for me. I've been average at supercoach since I got into it around 2008. Had only played dreateam before then and was fairly good at it.

This is the first year I've been really good in supercoach, and was ranked top 2,000 before the byes (currently top 8,000). I didn't go mid pricers though, this is the first year I went heavy on premiums, with lots of rookies filling out the rest. I guess I've been pretty lucky with the rookies and while I've had blokes get injured or miss like Fyfe, Pendles, Swan, McIntosh etc, the premiums I have traded into have managed to stay fit, such as trading to Sidebottom instead of Zaharakis, or Stanton instead of Murphy. Plus most of my rookies have played which usually hasn't happened previous years, giving me decent cover.

Before the season started there was so many on here in the rate my side thread.Yeah seems to have died of a bit since then.I help out when I can and dont mind helpng out or posting sc scores etc.There are some really good sc people on/in these threads helping out big :thumbsu: to them.
 
I'm doing fairly well and have risen up to 4,550 overall dispite playing with 4 donuts in both the last 2 rounds.

Not sure how far I can go but as usual I think running out of trades will be my undoing. LOL! :p

Injuries have killed me this season though too like everyone else. Feels like just about every second week someone is getting injured from my team. :rolleyes:

Ouch!

Very similar story for me re injuries. Although sitting 9th in main league so sorta hanging on (just)

It would be just a guess almost every supercoacher has been hit with injury at some point though the year.And some smart/lucky ones picked up the likes of sidey/beams/danger on the cheap.

Our cash league this year is basically upside down last years shitkickers are occupying the top 8 & im down the bottom! On the other hand Im sitting on top of a league that was last week 6th in the world. (about 13th on overall points in that league!) It's a bloody strange game sometimes!

I think you were in one of my leagues last year and finished very close to me overall
 
Not really, aye?

Would have thought, even if this was your first year, after 13 round you would have figured it out.
