Ah that's bullshit (not what you are saying but News Limited), you can't copyright facts. Which is what supercoach point scores are. We don't have database protection laws either. It's a shame cause it would be a hard case for News Limited to win. But I guess that's just the rub of the little guy v big guy.

Reading between the lines, News Limited started threatening legal action and monty rolled over. Completely can't blame him for it, as I was curious as to how long it was going to last given the source stats are behind a paywall.

I got the digital pass free at the start of the season and still getting it free and unless that has changed should still be the case.

This is true, I think they'd probably be able to argue that there is enough creativity involved. I'm just mad haha. As you said it would actually make a really interesting case! Are there any Australian IP lawyers in the House? I only know the European and US systems.

You have until thursday pre-game to lock in your Carlton and West Coast players and until friday pre-game to decide the rest of your side.
Any trade you make prior to Thursday nights match cannot be reversed after that match has begun.

With the loophole you select a Carlton or West Coast player as VC and then if you're happy with their score, you then select a player who is not playing as C.
If you're not happy with you're VC score you then select another captain prior to Fridays lockout.

i can see the changes in the match centre, including change of captain and emergencies

Any one herd or used footy nerd? I dont know much about it my gf used it on her sc team.It puts the teams that share the bye one colour.So you can see how many players out have out seems a waste of time to me.

I had an excel file that did the same thing, but it was just a pain. I can see it would have meant I picked players that I didn't really want just to make sure I didn't have any holes. Give the absolute train-wreck this season has been it wouldn't have been an advantage. I won most of my leagues last week and will go pretty close this week too. So it's not a big deal overall.
