Well thats even more ****ed now, if we are giving up 22 for Ablett then 39 should have come back to us, this deal isnt happening, im calling it now
600-700 players in the league ..chances of winning a Brownlow .... most years 600:1 ?
1242 votes each year ... ...........how many of those picks go to players picked in the 50's , let alone 58...
We could debate it , and I like debating stuff with you ... but its a side track that may not even be relevant for now.. Lets just see what Ablett gets traded for.... We can revisit the Lang trade.. when it gets finalised ..work out its value , probably draftee, and debate its value any time post draft CE .. when we see what it brings ..

We traded Wigg & Lever for Cockatoo & Gregson effectively. We won that trade with the Crows (draft pick swap) as both of those guys have been traded away now
Wigg & Young off to the GC...
Why hasn't Wells liaised with Crows or Port to do a 3-way trade involving a late pick from us to them, to get Ablett to us?
Wouldn't that:
1. satisfy Suns' request for a plyer
2. Satisfy Port/Crows
3. Allow us to not trade a player and let us keep 35 or at least 35 pick downgrade?
Why haven't we done this?

Wigg went for a slight pick downgrade - aka held next to no currency. Try working that into a three way trade.

Yes. I know. It's disappointing. I think the Lang is one of those Billy Smedt's picks. Agile, reasonable fast, can give the illusion of a high ceiling through some good games, but can also be pushed aside by naturally bigger bodied players and struggle to impact games consistently. Just a bit of a tease.
