Kids are full of entitlement these days. They're not willing to wait around that long.
Isn't that apparently the reason why Clark, Narkle & Constable etc want out?
Looking at the first two:
- Clark has played 21 AFL games, had 1 VFL game last year and for a variety of reasons was limited to 3 senior games and a number of scratch matches this year
- Narkle has played 23 VFL games, 17 AFL games and a number of scratch matches this year after recovering from another hamstring injury
Both of those guys have generally been given a fair crack at senior level when they've been available for selection - it's not like they've been left in the VFL for 3 or 4 years. So if they currently aren't in the selection frame then maybe it's a good indication they have things to work on, rather than just being overlooked.
Constable probably has a better case in terms of the argument that he needs a new club to gain more opportunity, as he's one who hasn't had the same run of senior games - but considering our willingness to play the developing, younger guys, maybe it's as simple as Constable hasn't done enough to hold a spot in the senior side ahead of others
