I don’t think we will gift him to a team like we have in the past Fog etc
I think a FR2 is gettable for him
That'd be the minimum. We need some good picks for next year. He's worth more to us than a throwaway selection.

I don't even know if the Hawks have their F3... But I'd be happy to take it for Stephens.

I don't see us getting any F2 just for him.

Hawks look like they are almost tanking and their F3 could be in the late 30s.
A pick 16 highly touted Falcon tossed aside for spare change??
Yeah Nah... I don't think so.

I think best case scenario would be if they got North's future compo pick from Freo as part of the O'Meara trade and traded that to us for Stephens, that would be about P40, I don't see the point in trading him for less than that. That or as part of an upgrade of 7 to 6 but that would ambitious I feel given there appears to be a standout top 6 in the draft.

This is what happened with Luke Ball in the National Draft.

AFTER an agonising two months, Luke Ball finally got his wish and Collingwood its when the former St Kilda captain survived through the draft and landed with the Magpies at what had seemed an optimistically late pick 30 last night.

Despite the posturing of clubs in the lead-up to the draft, Collingwood secured Ball last night when all other clubs opted for youth ahead of the player who had steadfastly stayed silent and refused to engage with all other clubs in the run-up to the draft.

St Kilda now confronts the fact it has lost its former captain for nothing, having been offered more in trade terms by Collingwood. But the Saints rejected the offers that would have given them pick 25 or, late on the last trade day, Tyson Goldsack and pick 30, in exchange for Ball. St Kilda viewed those offers as below Ball's worth and preferred to try to talk him into staying at the club and risk losing him for nothing than accept what it considered inadequate compensation.

The market spoke last night and rated Ball at pick 30. The financial terms involved - $1 million over two years - complicated the market worth as he was priced out of the reach of some clubs. Despite its pre-draft insistence they were keenly interested in Ball, the Demons ultimately committed all four of their valuable early picks to youth. The pick most likely for Ball was pick 18 but they overlooked him - despite causing a minor flurry by calling out the name Luke … Tapscott. Port Adelaide, with a third pick at selection 16, was also a chance to surprise, but it too resisted the temptation to recycle rather than rejuvenate.

as opposed to the Cat ferals that hang around Moorabool St bus stop?

You’re obviously a child.

As a father, I’ll say this to you :

Calm down youngster.

Gain some manners (especially when you’re at someone else’s place)

Think if your family is proud with what you may post on bigfooty (and social media) before you do that.

Enjoy life, find a hobby, be kind and gracious, and stop bring a feral dickhead 👍

Henry cannot go to the PSD. He would be grabbed immediately.

As for the ND he can’t put a price on his head that we can’t pay.
You cannot smooth it.

Let’s say he puts up a 1 year request with $500k.
Geelong have to prove they have the $500k or they can’t draft him.

You can smooth after year one. But not when he is drafted.

You'd have to think if the club is willing to let CS go then they must rate at least one of Whyte, Willis, Kroeger or Knevitt pretty highly and see them taking his spot with a clean run of injuries.

It's just madness otherwise. He's contracted, shown enough to be kept around and is finally healthy and ready to attack a pre-season.

Can live with it if it's a pick upgrade or FR2, but otherwise it's pretty ridiculous IMO. Loved what Mackie and Co have done so far but I can't see the sense in this one.
