It will clearly be a cheap trade in as the top rucks on the market available but we need someone with potential and durable.

Whats the point in one of these guys if they add nothing to the afl side?? I would just rather ruck sdk or edwards. Im a big hard pass on these fill in journeyman rucks. they honestly bring nothing to the team.

I think we'll look at a back up ruck option to replace Stanley on the list, but should we also look at a KPD option if SDK continues on his ruck growth path and potentially takes the mantle as our #1 ruck option going forward?

We’ve won two games with a beanpole full back filling in for Chilli.
Was not really expecting much from this year as in a finals tilt.
Nothing has changed my opinion so far.
If Chilli can stop growing for a month we might hav3 hit pay dirt with him.
Edwards has more upside from what I’m hearing.
I’d be looking at some big body mid and a CHF/FB.

The “tap” ruckman is obselete... Which is why these journeyman rucks are useless

Edwards can step in and play a handful of games. He will get beaten in the ruck most likely but id rather give him exposure than some 26yo reserves standard ruck who provides no more benefit than edwards anyway

In 20-30 years it will look like a basketball side out there with 200cm midfielders

I can remember the days when top ruckman in the competition were less than 190cm.
But then I am an old fart.

Joel Corey, gun midfielder, was 6ft 3.

SDK is a back up ruckman at best, he would be the ruckman you put in the ruck when they need a rest, Meek killed him in the ruck yesterday, but SDK did better work around the ground. As Pure said, we need another back up ruck next year as we can't trust Conway as who knows how his body can hold up

The main problem is their listicle needs 5 names but there aren't 5 suitable players that are gettable. They're just having to fill space
