Geelong Cats stars Jeremy Cameron, Ollie Henry and Shannon Neale have put pen to paper, with the trio signing multi-year contract extensions to stay at the Club.

Cameron and Henry have both signed two-year extensions, keeping them in Hoops until at least the end of 2027, while Shannon Neale has signed a three-year extension, which will see him remain at GMHBA Stadium until at least the end of 2028.

Can we afford Maynard

Don’t have to….. let’s just get someone else to pay him for us.

why the hell would we want that knuckle dragger? I am very happy with our defenders already without needing the biggest faux tough guy in the league strutting round like a rooster who doesn't at all improve us
I remember watching our team field the same faux tough guys fifteen years ago. The fact that some of them ended up with two or three premiership medals does not change that reality.

I understand the dislike for him. It’s natural given that he doesn’t play for us, and most of us already have little love for Collingwood. However, to suggest that Maynard wouldn’t improve under our system is absurd. We’ve seen time and again that Chris Scott and Geelong’s assistant coaches have a knack for getting the best out of players, regardless of whatever flaws they may have.

Should have been Collingwood’s captain until Daicos is ready. I can’t believe I’m actually defending Maynard. Unbelievable.

Under current rules I’m not sure we can even trade out 2x First rounders.

Yes we can. We have taken 2 r1s in the last 4 years (Clark and osullivan). And even if we hadn't bruhn and Henry would qualify for a rule exemption imo.

While not yet signed, 7News have said that SDK has committed his future to Geelong with a contract extension in the works

That would be great we need him with no viable rucks.

Still get me some mannagh signing.

One gets the feeling these guys that are re-signing are staying for less.

You don’t sign this early if you are trying to extract every last dollar available.

Good bless GFC and their cap management.

Jezza had already reached his games trigger for next year, so he had a 1yr deal under his belt. But I can see him opting to add a second year and while not necessarily spreading next year's money over two years, him agreeing to a lower ave wage over those two years then if he was to sign only for next year and then look for an extension the year after

With Ollie, I can see him accepting a good deal for the next 2 years and looking to back himself in to have that real breakout season this year or next year where he then earns that more significant increase

And similar for Neale, but with him being from WA, having the security of that third year would give him the confidence to back himself in and take ownership of that forward line
