GFC Supporter Groups

This idea could die a quick, quick death....or, this can pick up and possibly be a really good thing.

The GFC have different supporter groups, ie. METROCATS (Melbourne GFC people) PERTHCATS (pretty obvious), etc.

I am a Melbourne boy, but I was thinking, why cant all the Geelong BFers start up a social group to rival the other official supporter groups and support the club?

There have been pre-game meetups (I havent been to one yet-naughty me) consistently.....why cant we formalise it, plus have other meetings/ functions, etc.???

Anyone interested???

If not, I will run home with my tail between my legs

hahahahahaha........... i give you 10/10 for effort mate.........but most of our meet-up groups are lucky to have two bob between them.......and unless you can pre plan a venue with an online menu with prices.....you will fail to raise a crowd.

Your idea certainly has merit, and could work well if many people pulled together.

However an extension of your thinking, and probably an easier way to unite Cat People without too much organisation is to nominate an area of the ground, i.e. bay 35, rows 1-15 where all of us can try to get our tickets...and there you have an excellent little pocket to sit.

OK, this seems promising. The only stumbling block would be to get a consistent amount of people together.

Would of course depend on costs involved and such, but if I could afford it I'd definately be in. Be interested in having a look at what you've got in mind

Now, now I've met BDP (despite not knowing it until later) and he seemed like a total gentleman...it was footy training and most of us fat bastards could barely speak...but he seemed cool.

Yeah, well our little cliche usually make it to a lot of the events... Usually me, Shell, Budda, jess_555, deej_36, BDP, Ninty, FoxC and the odd hanger on or random Bigfooty person.
