Gibbs vs Hodge 2009

That's all well and good, I still haven't heard about Judd's injury in 2008 and how I trolled it. If you're going to make an accusation, back it up with some fact.
The facts were posted in a previous thread.
seriously podgey, who do you think you are kidding. You trolled Judds injured groin last year & you made pathetic headache jokes about the concussion he suffered.
Being the spinless hypocrite you are you now offer excuses for Hodge having concussion & carrying injuries.
Everyone knows you have been trolling injuries & the fact you deny it shows how spineless you are.

Judd's groin wasn't injured last year and the headache jokes aside, I don't recalling attributing judd's poor performances to injury, which is what is happening here

Judd was 100% last year and this one. That's what is so unfortunate :D

Well here is one article about Judds groin in Feb 2008:

http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,23179277-23211,00.html

Read it Hodgepodge and you will see that his groin surgery took longer than expected to heal - this hampered his pre-season, which also meant he was NOT fully fit and 100% as you claim.

All I can see now is that you are getting way too sensative about your downhill skiier in Hodge - BL Hawks

Here is another one I found in the HUN:

http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/sport/afl/story/0,26576,25235796-19742,00.html

CARLTON

PRE-SEASON FORM
W North Melbourne 53pts
W Hawthorn 24pts
L Geelong 17pts
L Fremantle 43pts

WHAT'S NEW?
The Blues could have four debutantes tomorrow night, headed by "Little Lance", exciting red-head Mitch Robinson. Aaron Joseph and elevated rookies Sam Jacobs and Jeff Garlett are also in the mix.

MEDICAL ROOM
Ex-Docker Robbie Warnock (foot stress fractures) is on the long-term injury list and won't figure until after May. Andrew Carrazzo (arm) is also on the comeback trail. Andrew Walker (shoulder) is likely to play in the VFL while Nick Stevens is suspended until Round 3.

GLASS HALF-FULL
Chris Judd plays 22 games - fully fit - teaming with young guns Marc Murphy and Bryce Gibbs in a midfield that becomes the envy of the competition. Brendan Fevola goes one kick further than 2008, booting 100 goals for the season, and is ably supported by Brad Fisher. Result: The AFL finals is graced by the presence of the navy Blues for the first time since 2001.

GLASS HALF-EMPTY
Judd's groin continues to hamper him while Carlton's crop of youngsters fail to find consistency. Warnock's limited preparation hurts the thin ruck department while a leaky defence lacking in a strong key defender continues to give up an avalanche of goals, ensuring the finals drought continues for another year.

BUZZ PLAYER
Bryce Gibbs
It's time. The No.1 draft pick from 2006 showed signs late last year and is ready to explode in 2009.

You spent most of 2008 claiming that Judd had lost his speed & was a shadow of his former self because of his groin. You further claimed he would never get back to what he was.
That is trolling injuries, you just dress the trolling up as legitimate commentary even though you know that he would stand a good chance of getting over his groin injury & with a full pre season he would have his pace back.

I just said that he wasn't the same player, he's aging (26 now) and all that, plus playing on his least favourite surface (TD) for most of the year, plus no Stenglein, Kerr, Cousins, Cox to back him up. He's 100% fit, I made that point a few times last year :thumbsu:

Wait Podgey - here's another article in May of 2008, just before the Cats v Blues game - Judd still hampered by injury and failing to make the distance of 50m - take a look.

http://blogs.abc.net.au/grandstand/2008/05/judd-will-play.html

Carlton coach Brett Ratten says captain Chris Judd is fit and will play against Geelong on Saturday. Judd appeared to be struggling with a groin injury, when he twice failed to make the distance from inside 50 metres in the game against Fremantle last weekend, but Ratten said if players aren't fit they won't play.
"We could have played Bret Thornton last week but we won't do it at the detriment of the team's chance of winning the game, so if Chris gets sore and he's not, but if he does we'll give him a spell."

Interesting stuff!

You idiot, that's a hypothetical scenario. :D:D:D:D:eek::eek:

No, you alluded to his groin being an injury he would never get over & he would never be elite again. You took great delight in pointing your thoughts out and that is called "trolling injuries"
We all know it.

Judd was 100% last year, played 20 games.

To be honest, it's been Carlton supporters who have been talking up his injuries, saying that he had to learn to walk again and other such exaggerations. I've been talking him up, saying he's 100% fit now, he was 100% last year and all that.

Much was made of Judd's limited pre-season last year, but we've been shown that it really didn't make much of a difference.

You are a tool - Can't you read?

Judd was still hampered by his groin injury and struggled to kick 50m - what part of that don't you understand?

That's not what the article said, so it's you who cannot read. How ironic. You mixed the hypothetical scenario with the actual report to come up with a favourable interpretation.

The article said he appeared to be struggling with his groin when he failed to make the distance. Judd was never a big kick though, so i'm not surprised.

U have been owned a few times by me and the Carlton fans but I suspect this thread has taken the cake. Keep posting buddy it is giving me so much enjoyment.

FYI Hawks about to be 0 -3 LOL

Sorry Hodge but I think you are the only idiot on here, go play with yourself somewhere in a dark corner. ;)

Nah I don't think I need to mentor anyone. But anyway enough about me, how are you going Hodge? Must be a hard two weeks for you?

Check this idiot out . . . Chis, this is one of your own

Hodgepodge,

I strongly advise you to stop being the emotional cry-baby that you are at the moment.
If not for your sake, do it fot the sake of Hodge (who might be reading this) and I'm sure Hodge would be feeling embarassment being compared to an elite player such as Gibbs.

I'm alright, a couple of disappointing losses, but what can you do? Cyril showed some great signs against Sydney, Whitecross was handy, the future looks to be in good hands.

Check out 6:50 - 7:30 ;)

Damn.

School holidays rainman?

That's recovery. Hodge played against Geelong BEFORE his surgery recovery time was up.

lol, more excuses. Keep em coming :D

So knee soreness for Hodge = injury, groin soreness for Judd = no injury, thanks for clearing that up

I do admire your persistance though. Why you would even try to convince people that you don't troll injuries is mystifying. Anyone with even a passing interest in Bay13 knows how you operate. Are you trying to convince yourself or something?

Not only that, you've been provided links saying he wasn't 100% (as if you need them - just watching Judd would tell you he wasn't right last year) and you still attempt to continue the fairytale.

No one's buying it mate ;)

The article said he appeared to be struggling with his groin when he failed to make the distance. Judd was never a big kick though, so i'm not surprised.

lol, I don't think I've ever seen you grasp at straws to quite this degree, a new high (low) :thumbsu::D

Ratten said if players aren't fit they won't play. Stop pwning yourself.

Yes mate, coz coaches consistently tell the media the truth. :D

Honestly, as someone else said to you yesterday, your lack of football knowledge is scary sometimes. You'd be out of your depth in a puddle.

I'd tell you to stop pwning yourself, but like thats gonna happen :thumbsu:

Cue more excuses in 3, 2, 1...

You idiot

You Hawthorn types seem to be very emotional .

It is pointless comparing the best player of the best perfroming team in 2009 (Gibbs) to the worst player of the worst performing team (Hodge).

It is unfair to Gibbs and embarassing to Hodge, who could well be reading this and causing him considerable distress.
