Thanks Zebo, do you know if it was first offences or if there was any other history there?

The girls went missing in 1973, these offences were in the 1970s, do we have a date for conviction?
27/7/66. Would have served 2 yrs 4 months at most.

How and when did Errol Radan come on the radar?
I found him living at 22 Clyde St Parkside in 1969. His occupation was listed as a clerk.
Source: Sands & McDougall Directories
That's not him. Another 'G' (and not his father either).

EDIT: since he's been mentioned in today's Advertiser, that's Geoffrey, who Michelle says is the adopted brother.

My post 575 shows a newsreel of his identification as a suspect. We don't know what the new clue was nor whether any evidence was turned up when they dug up the Western suburbs property. They interviewed him before his death last year. He was convicted of pedophile sex offences and sentenced to 12 years in 1984 in QLD but came from SA. Strangely he volunteered to be subject of indefinite detention in order to receive treatment. They never released him. His brother Lyle Radan was one of the Trigg Beach murderers committed in Nov 1965 a picture of whom is shown post 576. I read a reddit thread where Errol Radan was discussed. Unsubstantiated comments were to the effect that MC knows he is responsible for AO abductions/ murders. His adopted brother said he had a shovel with him on the day of abductions not that that is particularly incriminating but implication is obvious. The Lyle image is very close to Identakit so you have to assume Errol is too. Strangely there doesn't seem to be any images available online so may have been suppressed by MC them suspecting his involvement and likeness to the perp.. The newsreel says they haven't discounted his involvement. It was said that ER knows Hart because he spent time with Lyle in jail.
I'm not sure 'volunteered' is the right word. And who is saying he is adopted?

Wasn't Lyle in gaol in 1973? I thought the shovel story was Lyle and his mate at Trig Beach in 1965.

Read article which said it was volunteered....twice now separate articles. He was sentenced to 12 years in 84 reduced to 3 but because he made a voluntary detention (the reason specified was to get treatment) they kept him. In the end he contested it to High Court looking for release in 2014 but was denied. Ie he changed his mind about volunteering. The high court decision was about whether those in charge of detention had a right to ignore the court decisions in preference to their own decision on detention. I'll fact check again to be sure. Lyle was in jail from Nov 65 for that murder. Yes aware of facts of Trigg Pont Beach murder. Is a good video on it which I've watched.

I'll check the thread again if I can. Sure it said was an adopted brother (assumed not to be Lyle ) who saw him with a shovel and was referring to Errol not Lyle. If I recall correctly the Trigg Beach murder were Young who had a shovel for unknown purpose and Lyle Radan..so yes was a shovel in that too to dig the grave for Pascoe's own death who he then shot in head 3 times with a 22.

Hart's sexuality would be fixed so absolutely he could have been responsible for the Adelaide Oval abductions and it's no stretch with the boldness to take two children, to put him further in to the frame of taking the Beaumont children. imo.

He's sadistic and cruel, a disgusting and very dangerous type.

Today's Advertiser page identifies the older adopted brother. Not Lyle.

Hi Zebo, posting the EG Radan shot I found. Yes there were definitely other G Radan‘s in the Directories.

Joanne Ratcliffe and Kirste Gordon disappeared 50 years ago — but the sister of one wants to 'help guide the girls home', ABC News, 25 August 2023

Joanne's sister Suzie Ratcliffe (who established Leave A Light On — "a group that works to secure closure and justice for families of missing persons"):

"It's important to keep these cases in the public eye, to be able to reach that one person that might have information that can put an end to this heartache for not just my family but so many others."

More of back story. Errol Radan is mentioned early in this video (relating to the Trigg Point Beach murder). The guy that murdered Pascoe name Robert Young had befriended Lyle Radan because he had helped Errol Radan from getting a beating from a warder in Yatala Labour prison. So Errol was in prison some time before 65 at Yatala it seems.

Lyle radan and young were sentenced for the murder of keith Pascoe at Trigg point. They were suppose to be hung but the laws prevented the hanging so life in prison. Lyle has passed to now

Yeah, it was, Perhaps it could have been a group loosely associated with them, I guess none of us really know.

It's been speculated that Derek Percy may have been involved with the Beaumont disappearance, who knows, perhaps he might have had an involvement with this 1973 mystery too. He reportedly had spent time in Adelaide 4 or 5 decades ago.
Percy was involved in the life savers club and joined the regattas which was on in glenelg 1966. Theres a woman connected to escourt house whos maiden name was beaumont. Her mothers maiden name was percy. Maybe percy was visiting them

So let's get serious. Did you know that the person who sat with the Ratcliffe family, a regular attendee at the footy with them, failed to move from his seat during the frantic search for those girls. He also refused to take part in the inquest in 1979, despite being called three times. And he was involved in a private property exchange with Bevan Spencer Von Einem. Did this man have some insight to what happened that day?

The presence of this man is something that, for at least 40 years, was not acknowledged in any media article at all when it would seem essential that all members of the impacted parties would be front and centre in the investigation and, hence, the reporting of the events.

His name was Frank Bone.
Yes Frank bones was with the ratcliffes that day.
