Re: Gladiators

Gladiators and It's a Knock Out are my two favourite game shows of all time. I am really pumped for Gladiators returning.

Gladiators used to be on at 8:30pm Saturday nights, after another game show Man-oh-Man. I used to play hang tough on the money bars at school, and duel on a beam. We also used to have courses for eliminator.

Those were the friggen days.

They need to bring something like It's a Knock Out back. 6am Saturdays is too early, though - although I used to wake up every Saturday morning as an eight year old and used to do push-ups, sit-ups and star jumps while it was on. Don't know why I remember that.

Oh, man, how good was that. I remember my primary used to have the perfect set-up for it. I used to dominate :p

Re: Gladiators

I am responsible for this (probably entirely) as Nip/Tuck (cheers dude) pointed out.

Thinking about filling out the application form myself. Only problem being, the only semblance of muscle I have are in my calves.

Very, very fit young man but skinny and probably likely to be annihited by the big, bad Gladiators.

Conversely, If I did teach them the stuff on one of things I'd be like "take that you big girl, ac + 1 - you feel it? I'm the man!!"

Re: Gladiators

LOL, I'm pretty small too. But I intend on crawling my way under the Gladiators in the Gautlet and running past them and around them in Powerball and pyramid.
games were/are chosen randomly on a week to week basis.

you/I would be in some trouble if they three strength related games. the one with the gladitorial stick most certanly - one decent hit and I'd be in the crowd.

I wonder why he would have done that. Hamish is a gun.

I'm fairly competitive and I'd back myself to beat most of my mates at most of the strength games, even though most of them are bigger than me. Up against Gladiators is a whole different story, though.

Either way it will be a good experience.

Re: Gladiators

Does anyone know exactly how you would get to Albert Park Sports Centre from Southern Cross? I called information and the lady told me to get tram route 96, which seems basic enough looking on the website. But then she told me to get off at stop 128, but I cannot see a stop 128 on the site? Maybe she meant stop 138, which is Carlisle street...

Re: Gladiators

didn't brad bevan (gun triathlete or iron man or something) go on gladiators once and smash the eliminator record? i remember one freak of a man did it in 53 seconds.

Re: Gladiators

The thing I don't understand is Gladiators has been taking place since December 1. Here it says competitors won't start competing until January 6. And it is going to air in March, not February.

That is the information I was told when auditioning for it back in November.
