The magpies played for the academy today, these so called magpies playing at league level are a disgrace to the prison Bar jumper and should not be allowed to wear it, they should be forced to wear power uniform so that the past players of the magpies don't have to vomit or turn in their graves as they watch this pathetic representation of a magpie league team.

settle ,, i am not happy with the loss .. but thats going too far , will you still be saying this when we win the grand final

good to see Harvey have a good game for us with 23 disposals, 22 hit outs and kicking a goal ...
Harvey was good, as was Logan. At the moment I can't think of another who was. And some like Flynn, Hitchcock and Krakouer were disgraceful.

IMO there are serious questions hanging over whiskas head has, it been a job for the boys. Cant complain in finishing top but can this cat get the best out of the team he is in charge of?????

You are a right clown. Your only co tributions to this board are to bag Ken, and now it seems Whiskas. Do you think you could do a better job?

You need to learn a bit of perspective mate you are well outside the bell curve.

Why a clown , job for the boys ? , maybe. And winning not everything , those words should NEVER come out of a Port coaches mouth.

will they turn i their graves when they represent the pafc in a second semi with two shots at a grand final in the next couple of weeks?
today was shocking and hockings words were disgraceful, but lets not spit the dummy after every loss, its been a long time since we have seen finals and a very long time since we finished top with a real chance of a gf and a flag. we beat norwood last week and had over 10000 to our last 2 games at alberton. we will give it a real crack this finals series, no doubt about it.

basically we played like a team with nothing on the line while they played like a team full of heart and desperation, disappointing but im not too fussed to be honest. id say it was their grand final but it couldnt be, they won.....

Obviously it's disappointing to lose but I'm hoping they were just being careful with the players fitness heading into finals.
We had nothing really to play for today but we have finished top.

The boys will get a good rest and we'll beat whoever they put in front of us.

You seem to be living up to you name ;)
Disappointing with the personal that Port have to lose to the bottom side in such a way. Obviously makes no difference to ladder positions so no drama.
However the Magpies have shown they can drop off it will be a big pity if the coach cant get the best out of them come finals.
I normally go for the coaches when potential is not realized i think its a reasonable thing to do!
Could i do a better job probably not but remember thats their job and they get paid well for it!

At the risk of being castigated by all, the Magpies are no certainty to win the GF. We are very much hot and cold, one week we beat Norwood the next we loose to a bunch of scrubbers. We have managed to loose to North, West, South, Centrals and now Glenelg over the past two months and that does not make us certainties for the Premiership.

I am not saying we cannot win it but realistically we are no certainties.

There are no excuses for a loss against a side that has collected the spoon and was spanked by 152 points in round 2. It was not Glenelg's grand final, that's another excuse. There's nothing to salvage from this loss. Protecting Hocking doesn't do anything for the development of those players and the success of our club at sanfl level. Hocking's mid-week words may well have set the tone for today and the finals. You develop afl players and you win, they do go hand in hand, but if Hocking believes otherwise then move on. If the club believes otherwise then suffer the consequences. Keith Thomas' attempt to redefine the meaning of Hocking's words did not sound convincing at all. If the club is not serious about winning, if our position on the ladder is 'only' or 'just' a byproduct of developing, then get out of the sanfl and place your teams into the amateurs because you can experiment at any level and to your heart's content, without wearing the famous jumper.

The only thing that will redeem Hocking's recent poor form is winning the grand final but be prepared for a Sturt v Norwood grand final.
