AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Interestingly the Suns supporters board have hardly discussed this issue - there's less than 10 posts & they've all taken the view that it would be just ridiculous - that's because it is all just a load of BULLSH1T (& due to the fact that we're all a bit footy deprived at the moment, we've created a thread for it).
In the hypothetical case that there was any truth in it, I'd be happy to get an end of 1st round compensation pick.
I heard Kim Hackdorn discussing this story on the Bob Maumill show yesterday and he basically admitted that he is simply putting two and two together to come up with this story.
He reckons that Brad Lloyd told him that the club is speaking to Colin Young about a new contract for Sandi next year, however the club wants to see how Sandi goes this year before committing to anything concrete at this stage. The club have told Sandi that he is a required player until he can no longer perform his duties at the highest level.
Hackdorn then said that Colin Young reckons that the club have not spoken to him at all about a new contract for Sandi and is insinuating that Sandi may look for opportunities elsewhere as a result.
Total garbage by Hackdorn yet again.
He was wrong about Fyfe and he was wrong about Mundy going home.
I may be in the minority, but I'd rate Dal Santo, Goddard and Griffen just as highly regardless of their different jumpers. All of them are quality players. They don't lose any ability switching clubs. They are professionals, doing a job. What difference does it make where they ply their trade?
The article wasn't written by Kim; some fella Anthony deCeglie or something.
Bond and Lloyd have lost all respect for Colin Young. They call the shots now not Colin.
