If he comes from Nyah.... His not going to be real good (nothing against Nyah, but there are better teams n players to recruit from) .... All his worth is a Meat Pie, Mars Bar & a Diet Coke, but if he did play good, than u would give him a full strength Coca-Cola...

just because nyah as a team werent good doesnt make him no good mate. as danielkerr said, he missed a lot of games through injury. obviously what you think he is worth is a lot more than you're worth. good luck to him and quamby hopefully him and them have a good year

Taking a look at the clearances on http://www.sportingpulse.com/assoc_page.cgi?c=0-6163-0-103297-0&a=CLEAR and it is interesting to see that so far more people are getting or trying to get into the league than are leaving or trying to leave. This can only be good news for the league and hopefully should strengthen it as well as even it out as well. Also noticing a few young blokes heading out to Quambatook and even more so Ultima. Hopefully they can all gel together and see some improvement from these two sides. Anyone from these two clubs comment on their pre-seasons so far?

the majority of players out at ultima are small and quick and thus have a great potential to hit the packs and be at the fall of the ball. i would assume that there has been a huge focus on crumbing and creating lace opportunistic goals when their key forwards are not hit with lace out passes.

here's some food for thought, will 2010 be the year where a crumbing small forward wins the league goal kicking?

Sounds like it could be a West Coast 2006 kind of a deal only at country level. Interesting question but I wouldn't think we'd see a league winning crumber but top 5 in the league and perhaps a couple of club goalkicking would definitely be a possibility. Certainly feels like it will be an interesting and exciting season.

Wakool with Andrew May will push for the finals for sure

Luke, you seem to be a huge rapt for Andrew May. What type/style of player is he? I noticed he comes from the Picola FL, where else has he played? If anyone else has seen him play feel free to comment.

I took note of a player that has been cleared to Moulamein named Brendan Shepperd. Is this the same guy that played for Kerang 3ish years ago?

A few in's for Wakool and Quamby, and a mountain of in's for Ultima, can only make for a healthy competion. Blake Shay going to Murrabit is a good get, he's not super fast but knows where the footy is and GRFL will suit his style of footy.

There is another Brendan Shepherd who played with Lalbert I think, so I would say it may be him. I happened to drive past Tyntynder training the other night Vincent and I'm pretty sure I spotted you running around with the Doggies. Whats going on there?? You looking at joining the Kennel?

May is an onballer, he played with the Rovers the past 2 seasons and before that won a flag with Balranald (Central Murray) and with the Rams (Murray League). His resume looks pretty good.

Footy Pie, how good are you're eyes for a bloke that was (just) driving past. Mate im just an over the hill footballer trying to keep fit. Brendan Shepperd on the clearance list was from Koondrook, maybe Luke can enlighten us to whom this player is when he reads these posts.

Thanks Herb, he must go better than ok if he's played in a flag with Balranald, as they've put some ultra strong teams on the park in the past number of years.

The Brendan Shepherd that has applied for a clearance to Moula would not be fit to tie the shoelaces of the Brendan "man mountain" Shepherd you are referring to. Played reserves at Lalbert, Quamby and Barham over the last few years.

any news on whos playing to nite and players to watch for just came back into the area players i got told to watch out for HINE PEARCE SEAGULL r they all big blokes thanks

Shane Harvey was a pretty small bloke and managed to jag the ton a couple years back. He didn't play a traditional small forward role

Yeah the young Brendan Shepherd who is looking to be cleared to Moulamein is the young bloke who played mainly thirds at Lalbert then has had a few clubs since then. Has some skill but has not focussed on the fitness side of things (trying to put it nicely). He can tend to get a bit ahead of himself at times but can't we all:D

can anyone give me the scores and best players in the nullawil v slnt game in the night series last night. cheers

Got a bloke thats come over from your league to the ovens & king by the name of Wayne Theoball (i think thats the surname) looks like a bit of a goer ,would that be fair to say?

Sea Lake 6.5 beat Nully 5.4. Snake Robertson in the ruck for Nully would have near been best, Egga Poyner at CHF took some big grabs and will be handy this year, with Ryno having a go at CHB and looks better suited there.
