On what earth does Jenkins suddenly turn into a star at 31? If he went to the Suns none of you would bat an eyelid. Geelong just lost their most classy mid and have two over 30 key forwards, they’re f’ed if they can’t win it next year.

I think he can kick 40 and be handy.

My point was that Geelong taking Jenkins doesn't seem at odd with this list management strategy as was suggested, in fact it is bang on with them trying to wring every last drop out of their older heads. They will fall off a cliff in a couple of years as you said.

Kick 40? That will be hard playing VFL for half the season

Good luck to Josh, I get he was seen as a problem amongst the players but I think other players relied on him as a leader to make their unhappiness known

He is no star but a good player and backed up a terrible GF with a solid 2018 unlike many others.

A good pick up for Geelong and costs them nothing. Most importantly good to have a clear out. A must needed trade for everyone

Remind me what we did in the CEY trade?
Wasn't strictly us of course, but due to the AFL not having any clear idea about fair compensation we did far better than we would have in a trade.

Cant wait to see the Cats fans melting at JJs pathetic efforts

Most of us see him as backup - the need of which was shown when Hawkins was suspended for the prelim and we had to play a defender (Henderson) forward in his role in our biggest game of the year.

I’ve never liked Jenkins as a player or as a person based on his public persona, but this is clearly worth a free hit given we gave up a draft pick we wouldn’t have used (and got back a similar pick in 2020 draft) and we’re paying him a below average salary.

To be honest I’m really surprised Collingwood didn’t go for him. Their fast ball movement and the bigger ground at the MCG.... I think he would have been clearly their starting KPF, a massive upgrade on Mason Cox and potentially kick 50+ for them next year. I can only assume their cap is at bursting point hence them offloading Aish.

It’s a Good trade for us because rightly or wrongly he’s gone but yes I can’t help but wonder why Collingwood or Essendon or even Norf didn’t have a sniff

He was a fairly good whipping boy with fans, not suprised he didn't thank us, and we were pretty harsh at times.
We still gave him his opportunity ....and the fact is, which he clearly doesn't recognise, is that he self destructed

Were we? Our view on him correlated exactly with his market value.

Our club, Josh, and some of the bigfooty dullards being the only ones who couldnt see it.

It still baffles me that a player who comes with so much baggage that we virtually offered to pack his locker for him to speed p his departure was elevated to the leadership group less than 8 months ago.

Was it the heated arguement with Pyke .....or the supossed leaks to Crocmedia

But obviously, Jenkins was frogmarched out & told never to come back

i actually dont care what we get for this guy.
want him out of our club asap.
with his media bullshit, his play style, his salary, everything about him stinks
thanks for all the over the top goals and that 1 game where you made rance look like a rookie.
see ya later, please dont speak about afc ever again, rat.

hi mick3.0
