A couple of days away now, a great experience even if we didn't win.
Incredible atmosphere.
Thinking of a few great moments. A few seconds before the bounce when Simon Black held up the Lions sign and then Daicos did for the Pies, that was magnificent.
Bailey kicks goal of the year to put us in front in the first.
Lincoln's goal was special too and of course Charlie's goal to put us up with a few mins to go.
So called Category 4 tickets in front of the scoreboard in Q29 were brilliant, I'd choose them over what looked to be Cat 1 in the sun all day on the bottom level.

Yeah we were in Q35 and the seats were excellent. Also very comfortable as your not baking in the sun and get a nice breeze. Would be happy to sit there again.

Although we lost it was an amazing day and atmosphere was something else. Onwards and Upwards.

Likely Collingwood fanboys . . .and they would be saying that now wouldn't they. Yet, no-one here thinks it was one of our best performances. So I can't see how it can go down as the best GF ever in anyone's eye other than a one-eyed Collingwood supporter. If both teams had performed to their absolute fullest, and the match was still decided by only a few points . . .then it might have been up there in the reckoning.
I am a Collingwood fanboy and think it was one of the best GFs ever. Not because both teams performed anywhere like their best, in grand finals they rarely do. Both teams held up well under the incredible pressure. It was heart in the mouth stuff all day. 1st half a bit of a shoot out and the second a grind. We looked like the better team most of the game, but your ability to score high quality goals was just brilliant to watch.

If there’s one area of need I think it’s wing. Berry is a great runner but he’s an inside mid. Ah Chee had a great year but was down on Saturday, and I wouldn’t consider him a true wing anyway. Crisp killed us, and his ability to get free and forward of the ball resulted in two goals that really shouldn’t have happened.

We need Sharp to step up.

Forgive the intrusion.

Having been on the losing end of more grand finals than I care to remember, I can just imagine how you're feeling.

As supporters we can nitpick small errors when watching the replay and focus too much on them, don't fall for that trap. Your side was magnificent on Saturday and will be around the top 4 for a few years yet.

To the Lions supporters at the G, thanks for keeping it as classy as you did.

Piss off with the condescending Bears shit. Go back to championing players that should be in jail.

Aww, you were doing so well. Now **** off.

Do you think when De Goey finally gets convicted one day he’ll end up in the same cell as Joffa? Maybe they can sing “Good Old Collingwood Forever” all day together

This isn't how I came here to engage.

I've already apologised but will do so again.

Sorry about the reference error I made. I'm out.

I'm thinking . . .the 2018 granny . . . .yeah, that was the greatest.

I'm talking about on the field

Rayner probably throws himself at the footy and takes tackles more recklessly than anyone else in the GF

I think he will learn a lot from Saturday and expect the loss will absolutely drive him to reach a new level of fitness to have a bigger impact.

Just needs a few more tools

Can't rely on hangers and breaking tackles to have an impact

Thought the Freo game was a turning point where he lead up and was a handy link up forward because his kicking can be a real asset

I didn’t see it on the day, but the thought to put an extra in defence (Rayner) was a failure. It was mentioned here, and mentioned on SEN this morning. It also failed against Melbourne (Gunston) and another instance I can recall (Gunston again). The question is if it was successful at other points in the season, or we should do away entirely with this tactic and attack the last few minutes of the quarter like we do the rest of the game.

That aside, i was happy to concede Collingwood were better and walked away from the match very disappointed, but proud that our boys put in a massive fight.

What has really broken my heart is the “what-if” around the advantage call after Lachie was legged with 90 seconds to go. Certainly having trouble processing this element. It’s only a moment amongst many… but devastating.

I will never watch anything relating to this game again but on the Roar Deal Mike Whiting mentioned that Dunkley slipped over in the moment leading up to the De Goey goal which is a thought that will haunt me. Imagine if he kept his feet.

Yeah it's pretty clear.

Not sure the second effort was too great either

Yeah lots of what-ifs and how Daicos was allowed to get open in the centre square right before that would be another one. Is what it is.
