I like this ideaMore I think about the game, the more I am we sure we can beat them. The weather is on our side, big shinny players are less effected by the heat, and we have few in our side.Do you see marathons won by big blokes, how do you think Cox ,maynard, and De goey, will handle the heat.I think they should play Sharp as sub,he is a elete runner,he always wins the 3km trials at training,by big margins.
I like this idea
I still think Fort should be sub given pies have 2 rucks and Frampton as well. Pretty simple equation - is there any player we just cannot replace? It’s Oscar number one by a mile, and number 2 is Daniher as a main key forward / back-up ruck. Fort is our best placement for either of them.
Third hardest to replace - no idea. It’s daylight from 1 and 2.
Charlie Cameron, Lachie Neale have also played in grand finals.I come in peace with a genuine question.
Is Josh Dunkley the only person in your team and coaching panel to have played in an AFL Grand Final?
Good luck on Saturday. May the best team win. (As long as it’s the Pies!)

I am still hoping he is not in the team though.(Jack Gunston too)

Where did you see that squizz, tweets or vision or something else?FWIW, it looks like Payne did a lot of the training this morning (not sure if that means much or anything); Linc also participated in full training with no bandage around the calf etc.
Mmmmm I'm torn between the notion that "the big men don't get any shorter" and my recollection of the 2001 Grand Final. After a tight a tense first half where guys like Lloyd, Lucas and Lynch were influential, the game turned into a cross country meet where we ran them off their legs.Fort the sub. Give Zorko and Bailey plenty of forward time in the first 3 quarters then unleash Fort for Fletcher in the last

So I'd probably still prefer Lyons ahead of Fort. If Sharp were to play it would probably make more sense for him to start in the 22 and really work his opponent(s) over for 3+ quarters.
But given the start will most likely be hot at the contest early on I'm very much backing Dev Robertson to play a similar sort of role he played against Carlton.
Sorry mate here’s the footage and update on Linc.Where did you see that squizz, tweets or vision or something else?
Did you get yourself a ticket btw?
Just rewatched the Carlton game and two improvement areas really stood out.
1. Dev Robertson’s disposal was quite poor and he needs to improve on this against Collingwood. He applied great physical pressure and he had no problems getting the ball, but he often turned it straight back over.
2. Brandon Starcevich needs to think harder and play smarter. Against Carlton he gave away a pointless 50 metre penalty in the first quarter (goal Carlton) and in the second hit Cripps high to give away a free deep inside 50 (goal Carlton).
Both Robertson and Starcevich deserve to be in the side and they are both valuable players. If they can improve on their performances against Carlton, it is going to really help.
Not sure Frampton worries me a lot. Ruck cover still my worry. Suspect Howe plays forward?I was leaning towards keeping Gardiner in even if Payne is right to go but with the Pies having Cox 211cm, Cameron 204cm and Frampton 201cm I am starting to doubt that would be the right move.
I can remember a full page article describing a young Nigel Lappin as the King of the Clangers, those that know how to find it can always work on their disposal.Young player issues. Can't expect under pressure composite yet, so we have to suck up some clangers.
Going to be awesome even they hit 100 games.
I'm with you , if we are 100% confident the ankle won't be an issue.I was leaning towards keeping Gardiner in even if Payne is right to go but with the Pies having Cox 211cm, Cameron 204cm and Frampton 201cm I am starting to doubt that would be the right move.
My prediction is based on cup cakes.
At the Victoria markets this morning there were only four lions cupcakes left, but the full dozen Collingwood were still available.
Clearly it's a sign.
