I was leaning towards keeping Gardiner in even if Payne is right to go but with the Pies having Cox 211cm, Cameron 204cm and Frampton 201cm I am starting to doubt that would be the right move.
On the years efforts, Payne deserves a shot if he is good to go.
But I wonder if Fages will have doubts in the back of his mind and keep Gardiner as the Sub?

Who'd want to be a coach come Thursday night Grand Final week?! Would be interesting to be a fly on the wall at match committee. Surely there's a sports doco opportunity here... would be fascinating.

It seems Collingwood will be using Frampton to negate Andrews to try to stop him intercept marking. That might mean bringing in Payne to intercept mark, not really a strong point of Gardiner.

Being. A hot day whos your sub?
Surely it would have to be a runner
I think it will be experience as sub.
Which for me, means our 4 emergencies will be Gunston, Lyons, Gardiner and Fort.
Sub will be one of them.
Could be way off though.

McCarthy should be fine for Saturday.

Payne not so much. Gardiner has a good history against Elliot and De Goey, so you'd back him to blanket one of them.
I agree. Gardiner is stronger than Payne on the deck. He also played with great confidence against Carlton. I would prefer to go in with a player who is not under an injury cloud. Gardiner for me.

Max Gawn's tips- Lions best footy is the best. Lions and Oscar McInerney for the Norm Smith.

One record that will be broken this week is it will be the biggest crowd any Brisbane or Fitzroy team has ever played in front of. Current record is 91,817 at the 2002 Grand Final.

Brisbane/Fitzroy, Gold Coast and Port Adelaide are the only clubs to have never played a match before 100,000.

Would be great if the crowd is over 100,000.
I think last years attendance was around 100,016?

They worry is if Cox gives Mac a work over like he did to Kawn, with a knee or two,he was looking a stuffed as the game progressed.

**** Cox. Has to resort to errant knees to seem effective. We will prepare for this.

if cox does his thing where he tries to run through the player on the mark after taking a shot at goal i hope whoever is manning the mark puts him on his ass
And give away a free kick for him to do it all over again.
