I’m filthy. I can’t get Prime7 in my apartment because of shit reception- even the antenna built into the complex can’t get it.

I can’t dart out and buy an Apple TV or another box because of lockdown.

I don’t have a PS4/5.

I’m basically down to either hoping that it’s on 7Plus on my Samsung TV - which it doesn’t look like - or breaching the COVID rules to watch it. I haven’t had this with any other sporting event ever.

LOL of course- no streaming. FWIW I don't have the NBN in my building so I couldn't watch 1080p anyway.

If you're going to acquire the rights to the Grand Final at least bloody show it in 4k with 20 cameras or something, 1080p should be minimum standard these days.

FTA is only 1080i (low bitrate at that). At least Kayo woulda been 1080p.

It's a joke that the AFL accept their showcase event being shown in second rate quality. Especially now that a heap of people have 4k TV's 1080i looks horrible.

Lol, for some inexplicable reason Channel. 7 (& it’s many derivatives) have suddenly sh1t themselves on my TV. Had to follow the Brownlow by constantly hitting refresh on the MMM app.

I have Kayo, Apple TV 4K and every single streaming service known to man but it seems they’re all gonna be useless. Looks like I’m going to a mates place.

The Brownlow wasn’t. I have Apple TV and PlayStation 4 and it didn’t appear via 7+ on either of them.

Had to run out to buy an aerial from McEwans Hardware, grabbed a late edition of The Herald and The Sun separately, then treated myself to **** and Red Skins from the local milk bar. Brashs was closed though.

When I read, 'run out to buy an aerial from McEwans', I thought, I remember McEwans when I was a kid back in the 70s and 80s, is someone else using the name now? Then I read the rest of it, nice work.

I've read this thread and looked on line and all it talks about what devices you can use to stream the game on a tv.

I'm stuck at work for the first quarter and then on a bus back to camp for the second quarter and will only have access to my phone, which I do have the 7Plus app on, but reading everything, it seems none of us will be able to watch it on our phones, does this sound correct?

Can I just say, thank you very much to everyone who’s contributed info to this thread.

I haven’t owned a tv for the best part of a decade. It’s still lockdown in this part of the country. No pubs or mates places to go to this time. Would have made for a grim weekend if this thread hadn’t alerted me.

Now I just need Kogan and Toll to work some magic, in spite of all the covid-induced delays, and get that Android tv I ordered last Sunday to arrive here on time.

No doubt it’ll only be good for phones size screens (no casting from what I can make out) but it’s still better coverage than they had for the Brownlow.
