Thursday

4pm Roar Deal live podcast @ Royal Derby Hotel, Fitzroy (currently sold out but potentially extra capacity to be added)

8pm(ish) Some session with Browny and Ash McGrath (not quite sure of the details here) @ Preston somewhere?



Friday

9am-9:30 Open Captain's run @ MCG

10:30am-12:30pm Grand Final parade @ Melbourne Park Live Site, through Birrarung Maar and into Footy Festival at Yarra Park, concluding at Gate 3 of the MCG.



Saturday

9am Lions prematch do @ London Tavern, Richmond (unofficial)

10ish Lions pre-game brunch @ Crown

10:30-noon Roar Deal brunch @ Fed Square and then walk to MCG from Taxi Kitchen from noon

2:30pm-5:30pm Grand Final

7pm-midnight Lions Grand Final after party @ Crown Palladium

Hey guys! Melbourne local here. Feel free to ask or PM me any questions for the weekend!

Personally, my weekend will be roar deal Thursday night, parade Friday morning in the MCG Park (we'll have our dog in a Brisbane jumper so feel free to say hello if you see me!). Friday night just an easy one at home and rewatch 2003. Saturday we've got lunch booked at the Napier for 12 (the Royal Derby is fully booked) - any pub in Fitzroy will have lions in it. I expect Richmond will be full of pies.

After the game enjoy the ride where it takes you - Richmond and Fitzroy will be pumping with the winning team - wouldn't surprise me if Brunswick st got shut to traffic if we got up.

I've got a solo ticket (with my friends elsewhere in the stadium) so will be doing my best effort to chat to lions fans around us.

I went to the grand final last year and my best tip is it's a MASSIVE day so don't to too hard too early or the night before. It'll be hot, and it's a 2.30 game - if we win we'll be on our feet until very late hopefully. No point getting to the G too early.
