what makes you believe grigg is worth more than pick 40 in this draft.

what has he achieved so far, 1st round pick in the system for 4-5 years that has bad awareness & bad kicking also 1 sided

out of contract & your own club doesnt value his services to give him an increase & also rates an injury prone slow ex-melb player ahead of him

late 3rd or 4th round pick
 
going by the trade video yesterday, i think we will give up thursfield to get one of griff or houli, either directly or in a three way trade.

and i think we will get the other player in the pre season draft.

that way we keep our picks, and add a pick from the tambling trade.

I'd like to get Grigg in the PSD for nothing. Carlton had no problems aquiring Nick Stevens this way so what's good for the goose and all that.
And if we must get Houli then he can come at a small cost via a direct trade.

This is spot on because firstly Grigg would have a higher trade value than Houli, secondly I would prefer to give Essendon and pick and screw Carlton.

I agree Tugg. I hope we get him for nothing in the PSD. Carlton can hold off, but only for so long. Tigers know it, they know it too. Houli for a cheap pick, get a pick for Thursfield, wouldn't be dissatisfied. Mitch Clark gossip is the interesting topic. Land him for Thursfield, i'd be happy for that.

If carlton were smart, hold onto ratten for 1 more year. Grab Malthouse so you can not only cure one problem but annoy the crap out of eddie and feral non humans.

Grigg > Richmond with 2nd pick

Jacobs > Adelaide with 5th pick and pay a big front loader contract.

Essendon and Brisbane aren't in the market for a million dollar ruck at this time. Unless Clark leaves... that's the only thing that might stuff this up.

Could it be we gave you the 3rd rounder to ensure this happens. Richmond would have been prime competition for Jacobs. But with Grigg they get a good player for nothing as do we and as do West Coast.

West Coast wouldn't be interested in screwing Carlton over the Judd deal would they.

Everyone wins.... except Carlton.

Why wouldn't Richmond give up 50 for Grigg and pick up Jacobs with pick 2?

So that leaves Richmond with Pick 28 (pick 19 in 2 years) + Jacobs + Grigg for Tambling

And now on the Herald Sun website they reckon the Blues want a 2nd round pick and/or player swap from us for Grigg.

Pretty sure both the Carlton and Essendon are having some pretty good shit. Only problem is we only have the one number 2 PSD pick we can use on two possibles.

....Trade a player to West Coast for pick 1 in the PSD and tell both Carlton and Essendon to go to a pub and buy each other a consolation drink? :D

One of them will fold, most likely essendon because from all reports carlton are being pig-headed as usual. better something than nothing.

either that or we could trade polo or thursty

Ultimately without contracts signed we can pick them in the ND with the crappy picks essendon and carlton refused if we have to.

We are holding all the cards on this one
 
tell both essendon & carlton pick 50 is on the table & thats all.

whichever club takes it gets it & the other club has to either settle for a later pick or PSD

see which club folds first ............................ my money is on the bombers

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Thursfield more value than Grigg? Lets get Houli for pick 46 and trade Thursfield to West Coast for a 3rd rounder and perhaps the verbal contract that they will leave Grigg alone.
