I think you will find one of two things will happen a player with senior games under his belt will get the no. 1 or it will be rested.

I hpe barrys no. will be rested.

dispite whatever he has done past 2005 he was a crucial part in our premiership win.

according to fanfooty dot com... the numbers have been allocated. i really doubt this... because it says seaby has number 14, and all the other new recruits have the same as previous club.

I didnt think Seaby would get number 1, but I guess someone has to fill it and he will be good and the number 19 was a bit of a surprise, no offence to Bradshaw but I thought they may have rested it.

Well I'm surprised they didn't rest 19, 21 and 28, but I guess the club felt that was too many numbers to rest at one time or that they didn't want to do the "number resting" anymore. Also interesting that no player on the list from last season wanted to change numbers (Nick Smith an example changing from 40 to a smaller number)

Bradshaw getting 19 is a surprise because his old number from the Lions was available (36) but I guess either Magic wanted him to have the jumper or the club didn't want to give it to one of the National Draft Picks and have any pressure on them to "live up" to the number. But I guess Bradshaw IS the replacement for O'Loughlin so it is kind of fitting that the 19 does go to him in that sense and in 3 years there could be an even bigger pool of player for Magic to pick from to give the 19 to wear with pride.

Other than that no surpises.

I dont like it either, but considering there were 3 of them that left the club i can understand it. What i mean is if there was just Mick leaving for example, it would be simple to just retire his jumper for a year. But cause there were so many of them leaving (Mick, Crouchy, Leo, BBBBBH, Fosdike, NOG) they could say that it would have been disrespectful to retire one jumper but not all of them as they all contributed brilliantly to our club, or something like that.

Mick's the first to 300 for us so yeh i'd like that rule to come in. Or a 300 gamer/B'n'F Winner gets his jumper rested(Premiership winner is probably a little tough as many might retire in the same year).
