WSYD GWS Just Has To Do Some Trades

Oh sorry some people think that a stupid concept like GWS dilutes the talent pool further leading to the inferior product we're witnessing now.

I'd love it if all the best GWS youngsters were at Melbourne instead of a nothing club like GWS.
I live in Western Sydney and strongly support the concept of a side representing the area.

Well maybe they (read you) should just concentrate on supporting their club instead.

For a supposed nothing club that supposedly no one cares about, your making an aweful lot of comments regarding them.

I'm commenting on the effect it's had on the talent pool and other clubs.

Good for you. Lots of people don't support it as well.
Good for you.

It depends on your philosophy. I want to see the game grow and think it makes perfect sense to have a side representing such a huge population area.

Others are not so enlightened.

And its only about the talent pool size, and not about your poor club and vic centric ideas?? Riiiiiight.

If that was true you would see not having a club for Australias largest populated area is a terrible idea and over time the players brought in by the club and juniors and fans it brings through will far out way the pain a few years without them will bring.

Oh and if that's all you doing then create a thread for it.. That is not the topic of this one.

Your still reminiscing about the VFL days, aren't you? It's not the 1980's mate. Move on.

It's about VFL standard players now playing regular AFL seniors. Good for the fluff piece in the paper, bad for the standard of the compeition.

Who cares about the largest populated area. Why put out an inferior product just to appease an area that doesn't give a crap about the game or its history.

At least I have reference points for when the game was more enjoyable to watch.

What do you have?

.

Please see the bold part. That stands for Australia not Victoria, what are you 12? Everything has to be now now now... In time and with the right moves made by the club we could have some of the largest junior areas in the country for a club.

Who cares about the largest populated area. Why put out an inferior product just to appease an area that doesn't give a crap about the game or its history.

And that's why your not in charge, there would of been no expansion, and no funds from tv and media as well as new fans and juniors for the competition.

A future,

but what points?

All you have said was it was closer and better when we weren't around??

Really? I guess for vic centric fans who got to see more games in the year because there were more games % wise in Melbourne it was great. Not so much for anyone outside of vic.

Following the game for 35 years.

New team is created in my area, decided to follow and support, young group with plenty of potential as well as potential for a burgeoning supporting base.

Yeah, I'm pretty satisfied with what I've got, thanks.

Because rugby is a really shit game.

Mmmm theres a bunch of Saffers and New Zealanders who think different ... and indeed that attitude is exactly why rugby union got its breakfast and lunch eaten.

Because they thought it was something about their game that would make everyone love it.

No need to do the hard yards, and take risks to grow the code.

Because the alternatives are 'really shit'.

*shrug* Vlad thinks differently, and just like how twenty years ago people like you wanted the Swans folded or returned to Melbourne, and thought a team in Sydney was a shit idea, in twenty years short-sighted flogs will complain about the team in Tasmania or Darwin being a drain on their clubs.

A future,

but what points?

Football on the TV non-stop all weekend. The Golden era of Full Forwards and Full Backs.

When a far higher % of people watched most clubs far more often.

Unlike now when the % of people that watch GWS would be low.

Almost nobody sees GWS games.

Waste of good players.

So you followed it for 35 years but didn't follow a team in all that time. Yeah right.

That's nice for them. I'm not one of them however.

Tasmania would be a great place to have a team. Sydney illicites a limp piece of celery reaction for mine.

If they disappeared from the football landscape i'd not batter an eye lid.

A team like the Western Bulldogs however I'd be hugely dissapointed if they ever went.

.

Umm I get Giants games every week on FTA, im not really worried.
Almost nobody sees GWS games.

Waste of good players.

Really?? The target audience gets to see them live every week, and that will grow as the club does.

Not really, our players are growing as a group. They will end up (hopefully) winning a few flags together and in doing so cement the club and bring through the new fans and juniors.

Just a point didn't you guys come 2nd last for the first 5 years of the VFL?? I doubt we will

Also considering your 1st few years of memberships were around the 13k mark?? Hmm pretty terrible for a heart land wouldn't you say??

GWS will be flogging Carlton in 2015 hence his attitude. No more brown paper bags, the 80's are over.:thumbsu:

Hopefully you never take up a career as a psychic as you'd suck arse and go broke.

I could not care less about GWS games. Pies, Bombers, Tigers are the passion.

Try again spud.

Nice for you. You're the minorty though.

The target audience is supposed to be the nation in a national game is it not?

Well they should, that's what happens when you're gifted huge advantages over other clubs.

Just a point didn't you guys come 2nd last for the first 5 years of the VFL?? I doubt we will

Is that because you've butt r*ped the country of all the best young talent unopposed? I think you'll find it is.

Also considering your 1st few years of memberships were around the 13k mark?? Hmm pretty terrible for a heart land wouldn't you say??

Say no to drugs kids.

Obviously didn't see the game yesterday. Not bad passion from the players and supporters of a 2 year old club

I've seen a few games where they obviously had no idea what they were watching given the calls they made at the time of the moment in the game.

And that just shows your own selfish vic/carlton centric views. Just one thing is say no to drugs your usual line on the corner?? Thought it was the exact opposite for Carlton.. Am done with this turd.
