Ripping bloke and great team man from all reports. Good skills and player when up and going. From a successful culture. Knows Cameron from Hawks. that said, we probably shouldn't get him and Steve J. I'd be happy to have him but would prefer to see him go to Lions. He could do much more there personally and for their club in my opinion.
Definite Outs:5
Possible total outs:12

Definite Ins:Simpson
Possible Draft ins:4 or 5 academy players.
Trades:?
We need to fill a few more spots.Whitecross as another strong bodied mature mid who has a great attitude and comes from a good culture makes sense..Doesnt cost us anything as UFA except for his salary.Makes sense to me but depends what other players are available

Interesting article and how dodgy is Treloar's manager and its no wonder it hasn't been ticked off yet
but seems to be done with us likely to lose Finlayson in the deal to but get 2 1st rds and a late pick to.

GREATER Western Sydney has sought answers from Adam Treloar’s management about an operation the Giants young gun underwent without the club’s knowledge. GWS learnt about a week ago that Treloar had secret post-season surgery in Tasmania on his injured groin.
The club did not authorise the procedure, despite Treloar — who wants to be traded to Collingwood — still being under contract.
Giants medical officials were tipped off about the operation and informed AFL medical chiefs. They also immediately sought an explanation from Treloar’s manager, Peter Blucher.
Blucher is believed to have assured the club that the procedure was arranged independently of Collingwood or any other club.
Blucher told the Herald Sun on Friday night: “I’m not saying anything about anything until everything is done. I’m not saying a word about anything.”
Asked if Collingwood was aware of the operation, Blucher said: “I’m not talking about anything at all until this is done. It’s inappropriate for me to talk about it. What Adam does is up to Adam.”
Collingwood has since assured the Giants football department that it had no involvement in arranging Treloar’s operation.
Collingwood chief executive Gary Pert told the Herald Sun: “The first time I met Treloar he told me he had struggled in the back end of the season with a groin. “That (operation) would have been totally off his bat. “We did a medical — and anything that he did from that point on was up to his management and him, and at his own discretion and his own cost.”
The AFL has been made aware of the situation, described by one party last night as “highly unusual”.
A deal to send Treloar to Collingwood inched closer with the Magpies agreeing to surrender another late-round draft pick to secure him.
Pick seven in this year’s draft and the Pie’s first-round selection next year were already on the table, but the Giants refused to relent until yesterday’s sweetener. GWS will give Collingwood a second-round pick as part of the complex trade. Giants youngster Jeremy Finlayson has also been linked to the Treloar negotiation. Both parties on Friday indicated the deal was all but done.

Assuming the Carlisle thing falls through for us, is this passable for you lads??

Very dodgy. His manager seems pretty slimy so far.

This whole deal with GWS chasing points, it's garbage right? People saying Essendon can give pick 23 and 25, which is 20 points more than pick 8....but pick 72 is worth 19 points. Why would you guys give Essendon a leg up by handing them a top 10 pick, when you could just burn the pick yourself and not help anyone else, for practically no extra cost. Especially considering you're likely to get a raft of 2nd round picks (and maybe a first rounder or 2, not including the Treloar picks) coming in of the next few days

Jezza is an Academy product that has a heap of potential. I hope we keep him. Give them Tim Golds FFS!

Why is Finlayson being thrown in? Wasn't he one of our academy boys? In our zone and all that? When we have McCarthy crying for family at home, why are we putting our own product out in the market? Wouldn't he be one likely to stay after coming through the academy? I'm so confused by this all now.

The whole Finlayson thing looks bad to me as we really need to focus on a big group of local talent coming thru together, but if it does happen you can certainly lock in Nick Coughlan to be picked up by us.

Yeah agree with u..We will easily have enough points from our trades l.Especially after Treloar. Most of our posters are sick of explaining this to other supporters

The manager has been deregistered once already for violation of AFL rules (Tippett). Leopards don't change their spots.

Thanks.

Is he on your main list? You might need to trade him in line with the list reduction?
