Now that we've heard from the man himself, let's cut our losses and trade McCarthy for the best offer we can get from Freo. No point holding him when we want to build a culture around players wanting to be here and playing together in a successful club.

If you could, that would be great.

Signed.
Fremantle Football Club & fans.

Will be a long week waiting to see how this all goes, if a deal gets done and what kind of things are thrown about for trade.

Hoping we can come to a deal and know you'll be shafting us if we do in fact get McCarthy, but, think it's worth it for us.

Young kid, just turned 20 gets homesick, not the first wont be the last and more people get over it than end up at Freo

I hope Freeo supporters are ready to part with a best 15 player that is under 25. A best 15 player plus first rounder next year is minimum payment. Neale, Walters are two that will get it done. Go and digest that.

Hi Giants fans, got a bit of a mutually beneficial trade here. 18 + 25 (assuming Caelisle goes to the Hawks) for 8 with Essendon promising not to bid on any academy prospects. You gain 200 points, plus 120+ each if we don't bid on Hopper or Kennedy and another 200+ if we don't bid on Himmelberg (assuming Freo are the next in line that want him).

Promising?
Should we trust a club just done for cheating............... hmmmmm

Carlton's 3rd rounder really doesn't seem like enough to bother trading two contracted players. That said, it's more likely this trade happens than other ridiculous 'omg they need academy points' trades.
Sorry to intrude. Seems like a speculative deal for us, as these players do not look likely to get in your best 22 anytime soon. Would it be needed to clear list spots/salary cap with so many academy kids, FA's, etc. coming in?

Maybe if they didnt cheat they wouldnt get accused of it.

Something Carlton might want to look at doing to.
I think Carlton were destroyed by the salary cap breaches last decade - so are not game to try too much on.

* got away with the 1993 Flag when rorting the Cap, so are happy to do 'whatever it takes'

Thoughts on Whitecross? I think he'd be a very handy addition.

Ripping bloke and great team man from all reports. Good skills and player when up and going. From a successful culture. Knows Cameron from Hawks. that said, we probably shouldn't get him and Steve J. I'd be happy to have him but would prefer to see him go to Lions. He could do much more there personally and for their club in my opinion.

Lol. If you dont think GWS are looking at ways of maximizing their points your kidding yourself.
Pick 13 and 32 = more points than pick 7.
But I guess the fact you and your fellow posters didnt know that must of been a little embarising for you......
Looks like we didn't do your stupid trade idea.

I see why you don't work as a list manager
