Well, if he won't be at full speed - he'll just have to deal with being at the same speed as all the other players.

When he returns, he might not have the engine to play the full midfield role he was perhaps pencilled in for but it won't be a bad outcome to get him onto a half forward or half back flank and push a Zorko or Rich up into the midfield more often.
