It is possible for Trent and Brooke to continue their friendship with Mrs Hardwick and the girls whilst being close with Dimma.
Trent and Dimma have a special bond and it's hardly a deal breaker. What Dimma does in his own life is his business.

these stirring campaigners , I know people that have maintained relations with EX daughter in law after their son was divorced , coz they got on with ea other and were on good terms , same with Cotch , they’re clearly friends , I’m not sure dimma would be riled by him maintaining that friendship in fact I’m sure he wouldn’t

sometimes I think in sensitive articles like this, the author will be cautious in what they explicitly say

So two things stand out

1)

It’s understood senior figures have raised concern about the relationship after it was confirmed last month that Hardwick split from wife Danielle, with whom he shares three children.

2)

Danielle Hardwick, who was often referred to affectionately as Mrs Hardwick, is a much loved figure around Tigerland. She and their two daughters spent Christmas morning with the family of Tigers captain Trent Cotchin. Cotchin’s wife Brooke posted a picture of the Hardwick girls with their children calling them “second fam”. On the post Danielle commented: “What a special Christmas morning. Our hearts are full. Love you Cotchins.”

It's not a stretch to infer here that Trent Cotchin, the dedicated family man, is less than impressed with Dimma's conduct. & in the fall-out, they have thrown their support behind Danielle

Really, personal tension between coach & captain spells potential disaster to group harmony

This I think will be the biggest challenge our incredible administration will have to overcome if we are to continue with on-field success

But really you are just guessing - they could just as easily be good mates still and not trying to take sides. I hope they all navigate it with the best interests of all. Geez there will be some hurt there though. That can be hard to even be around.

Agree, I could imagine Cotch being a bloody good sounding board irrespective of the state of play. He's as level headed as you might find.
