We saw the change in player attitude and behaviour this year - that is clearly a precursor to a decline IMO.
We saw that in most clubs and ours only improved as the year went on. Hardly a decline. Every club that has a sustained period of success has an eventual decline, Will ours start this year? Maybe. Will it be the result of all of this? Maybe. Have some bloody faith in the culture. I know people think that the culture starts and ends with the coach but I don't think those people give enough credit to the players. We have a great group.

Maybe Stack/CCJ were dealing with it poorly, but the group as a whole are strong enough to pull through.

If you're intimately involved with it I'm sorry that it happened and people were hurt, but if not, just chill mate.

Sorry, but when your coach - a leader of young men - is having affairs on his wife and 3 kids with a much younger staff member who works beneath his position of power, then his position becomes untenable IMO. The power of the club was that we support the kids/players with our rock solid leadership from making these types of situations - if the coach is the one doing these things though, i am not sure how you can honestly say this structure can hold its integrity.

The splatter of offield issues this season was a substantial increase from those of the past. There is a fair argument that this rise in player arrogance, hubris and discipline we saw this year ties in perfectly with the time frame of this story - sh*t always falls from the top.

What a load of drivel. Head back to whatever weirdo church u attend and leave the real world alone

Zero. Repeat zero people care about this story beyond the salacious gossipy nature of it all. Everyone loves gossip but no one thinks differently of any of the parties involved.
Tom Browne et al know this stuff generates eyeballs. If he was a fair journo he might do some stories on affairs that occur in the Channel 7 office.

I don't know why you are belittling the story - the ******* coach had an affair with a female under his employment position. Dimma has 3 kids also effected by this decision by him. Its not a media beat up - He has separated from his wife. Making jokes or trying to downgrade the nature of the story to be nothing more than gossip is total bulldust.

It's a big story & deserves to be covered IMO. Dimma has proudly worn the crown for family first, progressive culture. With that comes the responsibility of actually being that person. Fudging your liberal pride is something you can maybe get away with in a normal pedestrian life - but that of a senior AFL coach to the most successful team in Australian sport for the past decade ... yeah, nah - thats a legit story
Alex isn't employed in the football department so Hardwick has not authority over hence the club giving the relationship the tick of approval as it doesn't breach club policies. The story doesn't need to be reported on as it's nobodies business but the parties involved directly.

What is her job?

Got this feeling that he'll step down.....hopefully not but just feeling it....
Wouldn’t surprise me, and if he does then it will have had an effect on the club

Doubt it
Given that it’s been reported that the club and everyone involved has been aware of the situation since last season if he was going to step down it would of been right after the season finished

That way it would of given the club time to find a replacement

Will need to win another premiership so they can split the cups 50/50 She deserves 17 and 19 and he can take 20 and 21
You could say Dimma left for new cups.🏆🏆

It is interesting seeing supporters (tiger and oppo) talk about how our culture is mainly focused on family and honouring them at every turn.

My understanding was that our culture was more about accepting people as who they are and supporting them through thick and thin. Sure, we obviously really value family, but families can change and people make mistakes, our culture isn't defined by one persons actions, and if we can move past this without issue I won't be surprised. Our culture (I hope and think) is far too strong to be irreparably damaged by this.

Wow and? Listen to yourselfs like poor old millionaire dimma for cheating i hope he's okay like seriously he's a big boy and can handle him self. I see why posters leave our board and don't come back the way we treat em. If you don't like different opinions on dimma maybe have a break or talk in another thread because i just feel for the victims and kids who have been humiliated in the public eye for no fault of there own...... Time we grew up here stop being greedy 🐑about a 4th flag etc and putting footy/coaches/players etc on a pedestal because if dimma wasn't a premiership coach you probably would be saying something different with not much support...... RichmondFC is bigger than one person always.... 🎤💧
Just because a marriage breakdown is sh.t it doesnt automatically equate to someone being a victim and I doubt a strong person male or female would think of themselves that way.
I got no idea on any of their situation but a marriage doesnt usually fail for one reason.

The Mail article is actually one of the funniest things I've read for a while.
It says the affair has become a "national scandal" and that Giese is "revered" by Carlton fans for his candid comments.
Did you laugh at it yesterday too?

People look at the Daily Mail although they don't admit to it.
Behind closed doors.
Whether we like it or not, it became a major news story of the day at the Hun with Dani's reaction.
It started with the Brooke Cotchin post, which gave the subject traction.
It's just the reality of it.
I doubt Dani would be too pleased with whoever leaked the second post!

His new bird actually has nothing to do with Dimma as far as work goes.
Why does it have to be a big story?
As i've recently alluded too.Why was the Buckley affair gone without a whimper yet you want this to be a big story.
Seems to me the only ones making big deals about is the likes of yourself who thinks it's your right to know.
Get over yourself your not that big.

I always suspected Peter Mitchell was having an affair with Tim Watson .
