Couldn't agree more. I think Harley should prompt a rejig of the way Freo plays, not completely but the focus should become more attacking. I hope to see Weller, Langdon, Bennell all in the round 1 team and the focus on scoring enough to beat the Hawks, Eagles and others.

This sounded suspect, so I checked the stats. In 2015, Bennell averaged more clearances and contested possessions than Hill. How is he an outside mid, while Hill inside/outside?

That's the beauty of such an addition to a midfield that is already great.

They can't tag them all. Someone is getting off the leash and with players like Hill and Bennell, it doesn't matter which one. They'll both kill a side if given any opportunity.

Bennell and Hill are clearly similar styles of player. They are both elite kicks, pacey midfielders, who are capable of breaking the ball on the outside and winning the ball in the contest. The difference is that Bennell has shown a greater ability to score, which is clearly related to his temperament

35 was too low for a guy that talented. Behavioural issues and all. He'd be worth a top 10 pick if he didn't have question marks about his behaviour. This could be the biggest steal in ages!

Go back to the starting premise - Hill attracts a tag, Bennell rarely so.
So regardless of where they go, Hill is going to be restricted, Bennell without a dedicated tag will get more disposals and clearances.
And what's with the selective quoting? Hill plays a variety of roles, including winger (as stated).
Statistics should never be used in lieu of common sense.

Statistics won't tell you that Gaf, like Hill, regularly attracts a tag.
But it's true.

Bennell seems like a larger and faster Walters. He has the same kind of flair/showmanship/attacking mindset as Son Son but with the size and speed of a Hill type player.

Well, in the interest of the Fremantle football club, I hope you're right and Bennell kicks bags every game.
I just think that comparing a half back (recently) with a wing/half forward in terms of goal kicking stats is just a tad silly.
Bennell on half back just doesn't seem to be quite the same player, though, does he.

As someone who clearly knows their statistics you would no doubt be aware of the discipline's limitations. Perhaps you'd obtain greater insight by looking at the median, rather than average results?
