I feel attacked!!!

Time for a few darts and some railing to calm me down
apologies, but when I read these types of things (original comment), it fills me with hope, not uncertainty. Along with the ability to make good decisions and execute skills under big stage and opposition pressure, it should be one of the first things ticked off.... dedication and ability / want to commit to the professional life, and excel.

FTR - I overheard Brendan McCartney at training c.10 months ago, and his emphatic comment was... "These boys all love their footy... I mean REALLY love their footy. Theyre a REALLY good bunch." He was not smirking when he said this, and he is not the type to mince his words. Needless to say it was music to my ears, and the results are there for all to see. Another one who is equally fanatical about the sport should fit in nicely.....

Looks likely. Speed, toughness and professionalism is a good combination of attributes. With the midfielders we'll lose over the next three years I'm glad we've targeted that area of the field.

In and under, looks like a quicker Tom Mitchell to me, others say Maynard, but Maynard has a far cleaner, more fluid kicking technique and is good overhead, Demattia looks to be a solid future inside mid, expect him to cough it up like Taylor Adams and Tom Mitchell, but he makes up for it with his pressure and inside work.

Jai Newcombe for mine.

Did he say he’s ready to ‘crack right in’?

If not, delist.

The club has updated its entrance test and young Harry answered well when asked if he'd wear a jockey outfit on Mad Monday celebrations.

Don’t know anything about him. Everyone always attempts to shoehorn comparisons in for new draftees to current or past Collingwood players for some reason. First thing I thought of from the highlights was a left footed Bailey Smith. No idea whether that’s remotely accurate though.

I don’t quite understand what his flaws are ready his draft profiles. Quick, hard at it and has some skill…can play multiple positions. Greater upside because he’s focussed on cricket largely…professionalism derisks everything.

hes fast and physical from what i can see. can tackle
so i think gradually move beau into the midfield and this kid replaces beau's role

cannot see him as a backman, especially with the mullet next in that role, and the coaches preference for a bit of height
potentially an inside mid, but as above, beau most likely to ne next in line , so this kid to learn the ropes following beaus trajectory
using speed and tackling as a pressure fwd

Can't wait to hear commentators everytime he gets near it that he has a cricketing background and ran water on boxing day.

Looks like a player that has some things to work with and will benefit from a few years at VFL level. Unlikely to feature next season in the AFL but plenty of time to develop.
