You forgot the part about setting up a home base on a former rubbish tip that required bending of the EPA's arm to declare it safe for human use. Like I said, Geelong didn't turn up, Hawthorn did. Bad kicking in front of goal equates to bad football. Simple as that really. It happens.
Too powerful? They have saluted once and been RU once since 2011. That's 13 years.
Let bring it back to the last 10 ears as its more relevant with current lists...
Geelong won 1, RU once
Dogs won 1, RU once
Eagles won 1, RU once
Sydney won 1, RU three times
Richmond won 3
Hawthorn won 2
Melbourne won 1
Brisbane, GWS, Crows RU once
Too powerful lol
The things the clubs $50m went towards.Anything down there the taxpayer hasnāt paid for?
2017 is where it cost us a flag.Doesn't excuse the 2008 Grand Final. Hawthorn turned up, Geelong didn't.
2017 is where it cost us a flag.
We would have beaten Richmond at Kardinia Park in the QF.
I have little doubt we would have gone on to smoke the Giants and Crows in the PF and GF, similar to what we did to the Lions and Swans in the 2022 PF and GF.
We finished top 2 with Selwood and Dangerfield at the peak of their powers.Meh disagree. We treaded water with a painfully unbalanced side most of that year and lost first final by 50+ and third final by 60+. Can't talk about something costing a flag when we lose by that much. Weren't anywhere near good enough.
Tigers clearly best by yearās end in 2017.We finished top 2 with Selwood and Dangerfield at the peak of their powers.
Back line and midfield were both solid enough and no worse than those of recent flag winning sides, even if the forward line was ordinary and unbalanced.

How much of the MCG renovations has Richmond directly paid for?
You are welcome to play at KP anytime.$50m, but you canāt or wonāt pay for a new scoreboard yourselves?
We are tenants of the MCG along with 3 or 4 other clubs. Itās not exclusively ours.
I don't think Richmond need fake crowd noise though. You are welcome to play at KP anytime.

Fair Point. You say that now but I have notice crowd numbers have dropped off the last few years. If things get too complacent, it might not be too long before the next Save our Skins campaign is needed.
Lol no they werent. Think geelong beat them late in the season with 5 of our stars missing. We were the only tea, they played in the top 8 in the last 6 weeks of the seasom. They were beating celler dwellers.Tigers clearly best by yearās end in 2017.
Im sure you have watched the 2008 grand final a number of times. What was your favourite comical moment of geelong players stuffing up certain goals from point blank range?Solid argument.
St Kilda smashed us in 2017.Lol no they werent. Think geelong beat them late in the season with 5 of our stars missing. We were the only tea, they played in the top 8 in the last 6 weeks of the seasom. They were beating celler dwellers.
Then geelong did its usual 2012-2019 first final thing and choked hard in the first final playing ridiculously over defensive football. Richmond got only interstate teams after that at their home ground.
I can't remember. Can u list them all for me?Im sure you have watched the 2008 grand final a number of times. What was your favourite comical moment of geelong players stuffing up certain goals from point blank range?

lol yes they were. They won their 3 finals comprehensively. They got their form right at the business end. Like other premiers - Pies 2010, Dogs 2016, Cats 2024..shall I continue.Lol no they werent. Yes, if only you weren't forced to play Sydney at their favourite ground the MCG in the Prelim Final you would've won the GF for sure...And yet hawthorn should of lost by 6 goals if geelong didnt keep kicking points from twenty metres out.
In any case my point was in reference to 2010, 2019, 2016, 2017, 2013.
