Have Richmond passed North and west coast

They’ve comfortably passed the eagles. If the eagles lose Allen and Reid they’ll be rebuilding for a decade, unfortunately.
Why is that unfortunate? Having one of 17 opposition teams perennially out of your way is hardly a bad thing.

Half of Australia would smile if this was Geelong or Sydney.

The competition is better when powerhouse clubs like the WCE are up and firing. Having small country town clubs like Geelong up and firing is less relevant to the overall competition.

Richmond can keep Ross, hopper, Taranto and Nank fit it will go along way to setting a decent example for the young ones.

Pathetic the state of the eagles engine room atm

Need to stop drafting hbf

North will be far better than Richmond in 2025, and whilst West Coast were disappointing on Sunday, I don't expect them to be that bad and predict them to finish comfortably ahead of Richmond.

I think the Thursday game told us more about how bad Carlton are, than how good Richmond are...

Too early to tell. One swallow doesn't make a Summer. But geewizz what a stunning win for the Tigers, both older and younger players stood up in the big moments. Even I was off the sofa at the end, speechless.

Based on one game we put out the worst effort of the 3 by far. I thought folks were too confident having Richmond wooden spooners, we're at least a chance.

Richmond were good but I think people underestimate how bad Carlton are.

West Coast look a mess. Paying up to bring in Baker and Graham when they already had plenty of mature players looked questionable. And there seems to be absolutely no resilience in that group at all.

Guys like Nankervis, Vlastuin, Lynch, Broad, etc seem to give really proud efforts every time they play and demand that from their younger teammates.

But North should be a long way in front of Richmond this year. They probably need a little while to gel with the new players but they really should be thinking 8+ wins this year given their list is now maturing.
You can probably think this by looking at the names but Baker and Graham were 2 of the best West Coast players in the game and put up an effort all the way through. If the rest of the WC players put up that kind of resistance it would have been a much closer game. They were brought in to set an example and I think they did exactly that.

West Coast are in for a world of hurt

Kelly - Cooked
Duggan - cooked
Allen - Could be gone
McGovern - last legs
Cripps - cooked
Reid - Who knows if he stays or gets his body and head right
Graham - Meh
Baker - Will give everything but is a midget and not going to get any better

They have 4-5 kids worth noting
They will hit ground zero just when Tassie come

Carlton under Vossy have got emselves a bit of Rep for losing games after having a buffer in the lead.
Saw it again last Thursday, they don’t seem to try and reset to the way the oppo play, they just keep trying to do the same thing all game.
Throwing Silvagni fwd was something different but Silvagni has done that all his career.

I think we’ll hear the Tiges song a cpl more times this year but I doubt we finish with a percentage over 100.

North are ahead of us, but we have a better back 6
