From the non usuals in terms of younger players….Reef showed why they like him as a forward target …he’s actually quite good overhead in the air and on the lead.
That mark coming from three deep in the last on D50, dare I say it had a bit of the Ollie Henry’s about it.
I think he can add some potency inside 50 as he is an awkward match up for opposition with his size as he’s not just an overhead player, he’s a ground level player who is tall overhead.
Fingers crossed he can have an improved season where he makes his mark even if he is in and out of the side.
Perfect competition for that third tall position. If we wanted to exchange him for a ruck we know we have some mobility besides marking target - with AJ it was really just marking target.

Didn't see all the game but I was not really impressed.

1. Where are our younger players?

2. Frampton from what I saw was not great.

3. We still don't have genuine crumbers?

Maybe all of the above happened in the parts of the game that I missed.

Hill looked super classy though

That was a very uncontested game.

I wouldn’t read much into it.

I just hope Lippa is ok.
119 v 109 is ridiculously low. Some of the “efforts” were funny to watch. I couldn’t actually find anything to comment on that was possibly relevant for H&A except Markov bringing his ball use from his previous clubs to the Pies and I still struggle to comprehend how many cheap goals we leak from slow build situations. If we’re able to eradicate that from our system we’ll be strong, but it’s frustrating to watch us give back momentum from what appear to be dead situations.

it’s a practice game. 0 relevance to season proper. I’ll wait till round 4 to see how we are tracking. Bring on round 1. Sucks about lippa, but we aren’t the only team missing a couple

Was an excellent training run and bruise free hit out leading into the season. Would have been nice to smash them by 100pts but that is not our style, at least not yet. Apart from Lipinski I think we are injury free, and we have the depth to cover if need be.

JDG looks like a wrecking ball in the midfield, big season coming up for him. I think everyone did their bit, no real standouts. Adams looked fit af.

Time for the real stuff now, a huge month coming up.

Came from further back than the drive to Geelong…

Hard to know what to take from that, our intensity was somewhere between luke warm and tepid most of the time.

JDG looks primed for a big season.

Count Oleg reminds me of Collingwood half backs of the 90's and not in a good way so far.
