Game Day Hawks vs Crows in Tasmania, R6 2023

The last three weeks have been great but it's pretty fragile at the moment

A loss today would dissolve every ounce of confidence us fans have acquired over the last 3 weeks

We should win

Our reserves should beat Centrals
I don't think they will up there.

I'm not sure our young players carry the mental scars of repeated Tasmanian losses to Hawthorn like most of us in here do.

Which is why I'm so much more confident in this squad then teams of the past.

I know it's bad juju to predict a thrashing. But that's how it's shaping up to me.

Hopefully our SANFL side gives our seniors a warning that no game is ever a sure thing, and to never expect it's just going to happen.

I'll take a scrappy win as long was we get the four points, the Hawks in Tassie is never an easy prospect regardless of how they're travelling.

Haven't won my trust back yet so still feel uneasy about this game we should win. SANFL didn't fill be with confidence looks like some bathwater has been drunk so danger signs ahead. With Collingwood Geelong and Stkilda next we do actually have to win today to stay in touch with the 8

Red guernsey today?
Oh oh...

So, NOT Sleepless in Seattle, Stephen? :sneaky:
How about you, AmericanCrow ??

I'm hoping for a 15+ goals win, like the awesome hammering handed out to the Swans last night by Geelong.

Form suggests the Crows should win by about 5 or 6 goals, backed by stats about points-FOR/AGAINST and other factors that have the Crows in the Top 6 of teams
BUT
the Crows have got to be switched on, start strong, resist fightbacks and keep kicking straight.

However, {hoping + should + play like last 3 weeks} don't always = a win, which is my Post-2017 Depression kicking in.
So many games are won by factors between the ears translating to performance on the day. We'll know by about 3p.m.

I'm excited to see how the Crows play away against a team they're expected to beat, but I am cautious.nervous too.
Primetime slot—works for me

Crows best not lay an egg

This should be a runaway

There wont be a thrashing, it is a total danger game!! Hawks in Tasmania grow an extra leg...and know the conditions much better than us. Hopeful we will win, but honestly wouldnt be surprised with a Hawks victory by less than 2 goals...

The conditions are perfect for footy; 20, sunny, gentle breeze and pristine deck.

Won twice in 9 attempts. thought I recall heard it was something ridiculous like 2005 as our last win but happy to be corrected

often windy, colder and rainy. At least no,rain today so hopefully not a complete slogfest.

if we win at 4-2 there is no better time to play the Pies after ANzAC day with 5 day break back at AO

Very hard to win in Hobart against Norf.
Blundstone next to Gen ocean and weather can be awful and windy as it was in (?) 2017.
Launceston just gets cold and drizzly mid winter.
Today is not one of those days.
Oh, and I live in Launnie but away this weekend in Sydney….poor timing I know.

Won't be an easy game today. If Hawthorn show up and I do expect them to show up I expect it to be a hard fought battle. If we want to play finals this year this is a must win for us with Collingwood and Geelong coming up. Got to earn this one.

Let's not forget that although this is a home game for them. Hawthorn are coming off a 3 day shorter break and would have travelled 3 times to our 1 in the span of 10 days.

That's a lot for a team who plays nearly 75% of their games in Victoria
