North should be proud - their players comprehensively beat us in contested ball; were first to the ball, ran forward and provided numbers at every contest. Conversely, the Hawks were repeatedly one step behind, and apparently content to rely on their mates rather than provide desperate support.

We won, however. I only hope we don't rest on our laurels and endeavor to improve.

Just got back, wasn't impressed, but the more I thought about it, the happier I got. We played the worst I've seen us play probably since 2010, North absolutely played out of their skins and back in again, and got massive, almost overwhelming umpiring assistance, we kicked poorly, handled the ball poorly, got an injury to our best player when we needed him most, missing Sewell, Suckling, Schoey, Whitecross etc etc, NOTHING seemed to fall our way today, and yet we still came away with a win. Those type of wins can be quite confidence and belief building. So from that persepctive, I'm happy.

Good work by the umpires. Their effort today should ensure they will never umpire a GF.

We are killing savage as sub. He needs game time to improve. Our sub should be a more experienced type. Sav is going backwards playing the odd quarter here and there.

Haven't seen the match yet, but on the radio, commentators gave Thommo 2 votes (3 if North had won) Which is interesting, cause if Buddy had kicked straight, 5 Goals. Not sure how you're rated as being awesome when your man gets that many shots on goal.

Yep thats the problem with the media 'measure' of a backman's good performance. It should be how many scoring shot's your opponent gets not how many were accurate that determines whether you did a good job or not
