I'm a happy man. Thought Cyril & BB would get in this week. Sorry for Joffa & Cegs, but Cegs can pick up one with WhiteX next year for the 3peat. Have no idea who the sub will be. Possibly Doc, but that doesn;t really fit the modus operandi this year. Hard to see Suckers in the role. Maybe Cyril. I have no idea.

Yea but he needs to learn not to always kick long. Sometimes he misses an open player 30m ahead in the corridor to go for the long 60m kick to a contest. Needs to lower his eyes and play possession footy. I'm sure Clarko mentions it often.

That is an accurate call.

We have become a bit predictable.

We are the most damaging when we have strong options both ways, (short or long) to spread the defence and then drop it in short to a leading roughy, gunners, hale or small forward.

Very difficult for most teams, including Sydney to cover all our forward options.

But we make it much easier for them by bombing it in long. Only time this should ever happen is if we had an isolated 1 on 1 on the break.

Rioli or Suckling will be the sub. McEvoy needs to play one hell of a game here. We are a much better center clearance team when Ceglar is in the side, so McEvoy needs to lift in that area now for us to win the center bounce clearances.

I think the writing was on the wall in the first two finals when Hale was starting in the centre at the start of each quarter.

Yep. If Simpkin as sub was there for late midfield rotations with a couple of impact goals Cyril might be the one.

I know he is listed as an emergency, but not seeing Sewell in the main group breaks my heart a little ... For the greater good. For the greater good.

For the greater good....And the greater Experience he offers in big games..

My pich would be suckers. He could have a real impact in the last quarter when the game is wide open and up for grabs, even a match winner.

That is weird! Perhaps they plan for Lake to follow Tippett around the ground if he goes to ruck? Doesn't seem likely though.
Not so weird if Pike goes down

Don't discount a late change Saturday morning to keep the Swans guessing...

I like the X factor Sizzle brings and Cegs played himself OUT of the team, but would have like to have Sewell in for Suckling.Having said that I have great confidence that this team can bring home our 12th Premiership.:)

It's so sad for Sewell, this must feel like hell for him.hes so experienced as well. You gotta hope they've made the right choice they obviously feel his time has come to retire:(

Sewelly is a club man, and understands the position the team is in. Langford has jumped ahead of him.

He can console himself with his 2 premiership medals. ;)

The good news story is the rise of his heir apparent Langford
They say premierships are one by the bottom six players, not the top six.

I must say I find it very hard to list six "bottom" players. Maybe the bolded...

B: Gibson# Lake Birchall#
HB: Mitchell# Stratton Hodge#
C: Hill# Langford# Smith#
HF: Breust# Gunston# Lewis#
FF: McEvoy Roughead# Puopolo
Foll: Hale Shiels# Burgoyne#
Int: Rioli# Duryea Spangher# Suckling#

But holy crap, what quality!!

The #'s are guys who polled Brownlow votes. Depth people, depth.

I guess it would be awesome to see Will Langford up there just like his dad in a grand final!!!
