My guess is Miles will be on the move. You'd assume a 3rd rounder being the going rate. Also wouldn't be surprised to see Lovell traded for a token pick either.
Risky now that we only really have WX as a back up small defender?

CEO Mark Evans and media manager Stephen Wilson are here.

Are they listening to offers for picks two and three?

What about suggestions they're hunting a 'big' name from a successful Victorian club with a godfather, long-term offer that might include the captaincy?

Is this BB?

Big Boy and something for May?

We were way too married to getting Wingard, no ability to walk away = taken to the cleaners

Has a JOM vibe to it and that turned out fine.

Wingard has it in him to be top 5 in the comp, its the X fctor we desperately need, he was never going to come cheap and nor should he. Talk about "just let him rot at Port and we'll get him FA next year" is ridiculous, a lot changes in a year and we'd just end up in a bidding war, especially given Chad's form...

We'll look back on this and smile

I think May will be a Dee.

Everyone thought we paid overs for O'Meara. Pick 10 and future 2nd. Ended up Bowes and Liam Ryam. Is that a fair swap? Even if we kept our 1st instead of trading it to the Saints (it netted Hunter), dont think we lost out there. Picks are speculation. What are the odds that any of 15, 35 or Burton are better than Wingard. Slim

For JOM we gave up the equivalent of at least
1x 1st
2x 2nd
1x 3rd

When I did the points calculator it was somewhere between value of pick 1 (McGrath) or 2 (Taranto). Much prefer JOM.

We got ourselves a genuine star of the competition. A wizard.
I couldn’t be happier. So genuinely excited by what this bloke can do with a ball I’m hand. Pressure when motivated is elite. We’ll get the motivated one I can assure you.
Along with that we got ourselves a quality person with first class values.
He is worth a lot more than we gave up. Mark my words.

for those thinking we have given up too much for Wingard. Brisbane are about to give up significantly more for Lachie Neale. Effectively pick 6, around pick 10 next year plus future 2nd and 3rd's. Is he better than Wingard?

It depends what pick you rate Burton at.

Just as a comparison

Wingard - Burton (say #9) + #15 + #35 (late draft pick swapping as well)
Neale - #6 and #19 + #55 for #30 and Neale
Hogan - #6 and #23
Shiel - ?

Arguably we have paid the most (depending how you rate Burton)

this post is about Wingard in case anyone was wondering :p

Crossing my fingers we keep all our rucks. Between BB and Ceglar we have our tall marking forward. The big Pit is ready to become the next big thing as a tap ruck.

BB plus something for May. No, the other way round. May plus something good for BB.

Good rucks are gold. CHBs the quality of May are hard to find but not gold.

We now need points to get the Moz.

Brisbane traded their first rounder next year as part of deal to get pick 19, so they have really given 2 top 10 picks for Neale assuming Brisbane dont make the 8 next year
