Need to clean out some passengers. Maybe its time to start blooding some players - like last year, I just think we need games into some young players and to clean out the rest. We don't have a team right now that can win a cup, so we need to use the years we're not in contention to blood talent.

Don't think this is an overreaction - more just think that we don't have a team right now that can push for top 4. Need to blood players that will make our squad for the next 10 years.

Time to reset expectations. Honestly thought we were a top 8 side this year. The first 4 rounds had me pretty confident of this.

Every since has been tough work. Bad losses and ugly wins. The odd quarter where it all clicks here and there - but nothing to rave over as a collective.

This is a middle of the table side in transition. Could be a lot more transition to come - particularly if Clarko does start to feel that the players aren’t responding to him.

Hopefully we can at least keep respectable for the remainder of the year and get around 10-12 wins overall. Head to the off-season and pick up the pieces we need to compete. We need defenders, a tall forward and another gun midfielder. No way we can do all that in one off season. Hopefully we can get some of the way there and look to build in 2019.

Well done Brisbane. A thoroughly deserved win. It's a disappointing result but not all that surprising. We are not going to win the flag this season but that's ok. We have to focus on putting competitive teams on the field that serve us best for the future in terms of development. Keep your chins up and enjoy whats left of your weekend folks.

Clarkson has lost the players

Is the message gone stale or do we lack some real grunt and leadership when our backs against the wall? You could always rely on hodge Mitchell and Lewis to lift us when we are playing like this. Besides Tom Mitchell and Burgoyne do we have anyone who looks likely to do that?

123 - 48 since about 10 mins through the first q. Seems like fagan made some simple adjustments and that was it. This is now as bad as those early loses last year. Last week we were 5 minutes away from looking like a top 4 team now we are clearly the 2nd worst side in the comp.

5 marks inside 50 from 50+ entries. Tom Lynch anyone?

Just made it that little bit harder to finish top 8.

its not about finals this year...never was....its about seeing what we have, and who can make it....

would prefer to finish lower and get a decent pick....

the large amount of changes this week would suggest to me that Clarko is thinking the same.....

and id back him in with his long term plan any day
