Port's pressure was great. But our inexperience cost us that game. So many bad decisions or just hanging onto it too long instead of keeping the game simple.

Not the best game for many players tonight but they never dropped their bundle and fought it all the way to the final siren. Gutting way to end the season but a lot to look forward to next year. Get Day, Frenchy, Barrass and Battle in the team and we'll be a force.

Ward wasn’t our worst tonight though.

Great season from the guys. Really proud of their effort all year. Their development has been amazing to watch and I have been extremely invested in their progression. Port were great tonight and applied lots of pressure; it will be an enormous learning experience for the group. We came so close to a prelim and I was really looking forward to attending one in Syndey.

I feel the loss of Frost really unsettled our backline, with players trying to play too many roles and it showed. So very disappointed because I know Port won't show up again next week and will get rolled with ease by the Swans. If they had showed this effort last week against Geelong they wouldn't have needed to blow their wad tonight. Oh well. Next year is looking fantastic already.

Gee that’s heartbreaking, but the boys fought to the very end and left everything out there.

Cracking game of footy with immense pressure. I think either team would’ve struggled next week, with the amount of sore bodies that there will be coming off that game.

Most of those silly mistakes that cost us a few easy goals will be ironed out with more experience and a bit more finesse.

An elimination final win under the belt and we go again next year. What an amazing season this has been. At least now I don’t need to stress anymore.

The pressure from Port early, combined with our nerves, stopped us playing our intuitive natural game. Way too much hesitation and second guessing. It lead to fumbling, players holding onto the ball too long, and poor decisions.

I'm just going to say thank you to the team, the coaches and support staff for an incredible year. We were a bees dick away from winning it despite not playing well, sometimes things just don't go your way. Premiers 2025!

Thank you Hinkley. That is such precious fuel for us moving forward. He is going to regret his carry on big time next year. Such a stupid amateur thing for a coach to do… you never give an opposition team leverage like that.

The good news is also. That win will save his job, and port will keep doing port things. Will get rolled next week.
