Wrong. Hawks did what they had to do by the rules of the AFL.
Correct. For reference below, once the HFC had the report outlining serious allegations they were duty bound by the AFL’s protocol to hand over the report to the AFL integrity unit.

I will pin this post, as it seems to be a constant query.

Hard to see why the Hawks should pay anything to anyone unless they are shown to have leaked the report or the players cases are proved in court. Certainly no way the Hawks should pay for defamation as that is on the players that spoke to the media if they can't prove their claims. Sadly like most cases these days, expediency will lead to hush money and either innocent parties paying or the guilty parties getting off light and we won't ever know the truth

strangely I heard 'Love Rears Its Ugly Head' strolling down the aisle in Coles two days ago. Was so stunned I had to apologise when I rammed into an old lady's trolley coming the other way ...
I saw them at festival hall years ago - great show. They played a jazz version of the song, which was so funky it could have had its own address in funky town.

I was there for that one too...

Oh well, our very own Hawks Big Footy Living Colour Fan Club...and no-one knew...

There was a good little gathering of prog rock/math rock/post hardcore enthusiasts in the Weddle thread last year as I think it was revealed the kid had a similarly good taste in music.

Bad brains all the way, and how come you guys have no friends?
Not many with the same taste...

A mate of mine was going on about the Streets coming out next year :sickv1:

Ha, I can understand if you like the Streets you’d have no friends!
my family hate some (probably most) of the music I like so I’m pretty familiar with being unpopular

Wow.
Amazing fact 1. I read an article by Robbo.
Amazing fact 2. He makes perfect sense.
Amazing fact 3. I agree with every word.

Typically if someone is accused of something, the accusation is either true and the accused is guilty and forced to pay something, or the accusations are false and the accuser is forced to pay something. It requires a ridiculously twisted pathway of events for a third party to be asked to pay both the accusers and the accused.

That's outdated.
In modern times the accused is guilty in law, guilty in trial by media, or has enough friends to walk away pointing like the spider man meme

Incrediblely dumbfounded to think that the two people involved front and centre in these allegations/probe, are the ones who win out of all this! Wtf? Absolute and utter rubbish in the way the AFL has handled this. It's like saying " hey Hawthorn, you've gone ahead and did The right thing in good faith but out of all this, we find you and ONLY YOU culpable of all damage it has caused everyone, ESPECIALLY Clarkson and Fagan! How dare you??!!" This needs to go to courts, the alleged defendants need to take the stand and answer some , what seems, uncomfortable questions, you can't be let off because of ' reputable damage or mental health issues ' , most average Joe's don't get that option unfortunately. If there's any findings that put the HFC in the firing line, then so be it. We shouldn't be bending for no one. I hope the club go all the way into the rabbit hole on this one.

Guess clarko didn't think the 900k he got off us for doing sfa in 2022 was enough. Would like the club to dig their heels in here, even if it costs a few quid legally and still results in a payout, would be good to get to the very very bottom of this.

Apart form the principle and look, if Clarko got another million from us we’d still be ahead on the value he gave us.

Well I guess the principle is pretty central here though isn’t it?

….and it’s a horrendous look.

Annoys me how the AFL live to sweep things under the carpet. Almost every decision gets hijacked by a bunch of crisis management / PR advisors.

If Clarkson wants to take the club to court and he wins then happy for the club to pay. But if the AFL want to make this go away with a payment then I'm dead against it. I'm thinking/hoping that the club isn't going to pay him out and that is why he has run to the papers. I also find the timing to a bit on the nose given it was straight after the referendum.

Agree. Not so sure about the timing after the referendum. But what is clear. Every so often caroline wilson hits the wasps nest to see whose going to get bitten. Invariably it seems she’s directs them toward the HFC.
