This is mostly driven by media these days. Media know that Kennett is usually very good giving his time and that he won't avoid certain topics when they are directed his way. Honestly the above and the 3AW one was just a clickbait situation likely orchestrated by Caroline Wilson... and it worked beautifully.

If they had some level of proof, but not enough to move forward with, that doesn't mean it never happened or that we must all consider these guys blameless and innocent.

Not sure how you jump to that conclusion? They are not a defendent but can still be accessed of acting in a racist manner, it sounds more like they are going after the club for allowing a pattern of behaviour rather than individual instances.

Hopefully we will get to the truth finally but I suspect what we will mostly get is a lot of stress on both sides, rich lawyers and some negotiated agreement in the middle.

I understand there’s an element of wanting to defend your coach, but there’s a cart before horse thing that comes to mind.

Wait and see. This isn’t a footballing gotcha moment. There’s going to be a lot of actual real pain from plenty of people involved that emerges over the next 12 months if this goes to court.

No one is the winner and no one will be coming out of it “vindicated”.

We don’t know the reasons they are naming the club and not the individuals. But if, hypothetically, Hawthorn is found to have provided a racially prejudiced workplace and the reason it was racially prejudiced is because of the actions of those three individuals, no one will be saying ‘oh well, they weren’t named individually in the case, therefore they are completely without blame’.

Companies rather than individuals get taken to court regularly for mistreatment of employess - it's not to do with being mistreated by the logo or company name...

According to that article, they're taking the Hawks to court - perhaps being forced to wear poo and wee colours should be grounds, but more likely it's to do with claims about hbeing mistreated by HFC employees. I wonder who the claims are against?

The names of the individuals filling the federal court case are being published now, now we just watch for the expected reaction from the punters..
