If this is true and it is looking like it then I would suggest what Port are after is another player bundled in for a low pick in return. The other rumoured player is Lovell.

I know you didn't, just illustrating a point that if we want a midfielder/fwd whose 25 and can kick 50 in a season we are going to have to offer up someone we don't want to lose as we simply don't have the draft picks.

And on an additional note if we did offer 15 and Burton and Port rejected that, then **** it.

Why would we trade what Burton could become with a first round pick for a player that finished out side their top 5 in the B&F to just play the same role?

I'm not saying I agree with it but Wingard is a known quantity in that role. Twice AA and twice Port's leading goalkicker. In the few times Burton has played forward he has not looked comfortable and he had a down year after a breakout 2017. I believe he will become a good player as a fwd/mid if given opportunity but it is still a guess.

So Guys, I worked for Port and I won’t tell you what I did but I shared an office next to Chris Davies. To put it bluntly this guy is the biggest flog I have ever worked with in any business. He was originally from the SANFL and how the **** he got a job at Port after opposing the licence sale, and generally making life a living hell for Port while the SANFL owned the licence, is beyond me. This prick will make it almost impossible to get a deal done...I hope I’m wrong but it’s far from over the line.

This and next years first pick with a second rounder coming back this or next year. So something like 15+12 for Wingard and 26. I think thats pretty fair since they need points next year for their Father Son.
